Check the sources at the bottom of the pages and there is more to look at. Calm down a bit their sparky.

check this out (it's a satirical political chatbot):
http://www.mylittletony.com
I asked it "What do you think of george bush?" and the reply it gave me was (damn I thought i copied it and now it wont come back!) it basically said: "how can america (bush) bomb countries when he doesn't even know where they are." It was funnier when it said it believe me!
Ask it about George Bush and the US it's great!
:)
Alan

"I was personally a little surprised that it took him a full 3 weeks to decide to resume his father's campaign of bombing the crap out of Iraq!!! However, I think the fact that the US now has a somewhat insular figurehead is a good thing. After all, it will be hard for America to interfere in other countries' affairs when they do not even know where those countries are, never mind who runs them!!!"
Ha ha - go to that http://www.mylittletony.com and ask him this question:
What does George Bush think of Kyoto?
superb !!!
its not britain i worry about. im confident in our gov decisions when it comes to war... mainly because most of the key decisions arent made by the gov. plus are guys are good.Quote:

my main concern is our troops being killed by american bombers lol :D (or shot in the back of the head by the guy behind.... aslo american lol)
Well atleast our troops have the balls to pull the trigger. Better than standing there looking like a gap-tooth bloody brit. Oh....uh.... LOL .... haha....Quote:

if you don't know, you betta ask somebody
it's an interesting conundrum, but it presents a catch 22 situation. If Sadam is planning a nasty surprise (and it is pure speculation from those that are not privvy to such information) it could be argued that he is doing so in response to the west planning to assasinate him.Quote:

Regardless of what congress says the Secret services the world over gain information via unorthodox means and occassionaly, when the world media isn't watching, bis torture. Is this ethical if it saves lives ? possibly but I am gainst it on principal, in the same way as I opposed to capital punishment. Too many mistakes and miscarraiges of justice have been made.Quote:
O.k. so now you may be saying... well where is the proof. If we make our information public, we lose that source of information(dead informants don't really work well). Not only that we may be using an "illegal" source of information. Congress passed a law a few years back making it illegal to gain information from people that commit certian crimes. Well you only get info about terrorists/enemies, from terrorists or enemies.
I don't think it is a case of apathy so much as a case of continuing the suffering with trade embargo's. Iraq still exports a large proportion of the worlds oil. We're prepared to buy it off Sadam but we won't lift or relax imports into the country.Quote:
As far as apathy, its really a hard question, do we sit by while people are oppressed, I would say yes, unless we are enabeling the suppression. Which we do every time we deal with a non-representative government.
In a democaric society it could be argued that war or at least intent should be declared before any assasination otherwise is it not murder?Quote:
One last thing. It is not a conflict of interest to assinate a foreign leader during war. . . however are we at a state of war. when is the war over? what is the objective?

look at the figures of how many brits have killed allies. then look at the same stats for the amount of allies the US has killed.Quote:

brits dont just stand there. it depends on the situation. if your talking about UN then that isnt britain. that is a set number of troops seperate from the british army. we just have a select number in the UN they have their own rules etc... which i think are rubbish.

agree.
All depends on what you classify as torture. From what I have read there are numerous drugs that will enable extracting good valid information. Beat a man long enough he will admit to anythingQuote:

well here is one thing. he needs our stuff for his people. Which he doesn't really care to much about. If its our stuff he needs, is it not to much to ask that he play by our rules? In effect if anything we are helping him out with an embargo. he can blame the west for the dying/starving people instead of using his own gas to kill them. More economical for saddam as well. And I think he is allowed to sale all the oil he wants in trade for huminatarian supplies.
I think its beyond argument to be true. However the current admin thinks is has found a loophole of declaring a war but not agaisnt a state.Quote:

and that is what is the scary thing, a democratic government that is viewed as the leader of the free world is (allegedly) looking for "loopholes" to commit what is tantamount to state sponsored murder. What other loopholes are they looking for ?Quote:

the current admin is one giant loophole as far as a democratic nation goes.Quote:
