I see that as a good thing. I only wish some other countries would do the same for themselves. Would probably solve a lot of problems.Quote:

yeah. i like it.
Allright 'cane, you make a great point about "Britain Day" I too would have celebrated any bloody day if it meant an extra bank holiday but have to disagree with you about the fuss surrounding the logo.
I think the reaction is fully justified. Its hard to see how they could have mucked this up any more then they have. The consortium has already been heavily criticised for being massively overbudget (what is it now £10bn?) so what do they do to quell people's spending fears? Sp*** £400k on a joke of a logo!
I mean you can see why people have no confidence in them being able to stage these games. If they can't even get a relatively simple thing like a logo done how can they do the stadia, the transport links, regenerate the area and ultimately put on a good show for the world to see. Can you imagine Seb Coe and his cronies organising a wedding? They'd pay £60k for the band then show up with a heavy metal act trying to play hip-hop because its "edgy" and in touch with the "yooof google culture" ;)
Its more than just a logo muckup it perfectly represents the complete shambles that our entire Olympic bid has been so far, extortionate cost and a ****e end result and we get to pay for the whole thing, if thats not worth a moan I don't know what is!
Read like you were referring to yourself/US. Apologies. ;)Quote:

Here's what they wrote 4 years ago:

And here are some logos sent in by the readers (#2 is pretty nice):

Yeah... I see parts of London in that logo.
If I squint my eyes.
And I'm drunk.
And I'm fresh off of a sexual romp with a rabid bear and a lion.
Oh... and I'd been shot up with enough tranquilizers to make an elephant want to sex up a bank vault...
The logo sucks.
I think I really like it
im getting tired of all the new stuff. that clean look inspired by mac products. It gets on my nerves. However, this logo looks like it could also be on some knee pads back in the 80's
I think the keywords in your post tigran was back in the 80's
I've seen it for a few days/weeks now and its not growing on me.
Would anyone be talking about it if it was quite good?
How expensive the tickets and/or hotels are for the Olympics 2012 in London instead.Quote:

No mate, I agree with you. I was whinging about the logo as much as anyone, but three days after the release and it's still headline news?Quote:

As for the logo, in a year's time people'll not give it a second glance, may even go down as some type of quirky success. Who knows.
Though as for the idea that it's some sort of planned failure, I wish the monkeys running this show were even half as smart as one capable of conjuring up such an idea.
