The illustration (the black and white line art) took me about 3 or 4 hours. The colouring took me for 2 or 3 hours.

nayades,
very cool char! I likes alot! Great pencil work! I usually mess with the levels in photoshop to clean it up a bit to make it look white like that.
Lauradot, Great images! I love the dynamic poses you do! Great colors too!

WOW EVERYONE!!! I LOVE IT ALL!!!
mel, EXCELLENT job on the painter! at first I thought it was done in a 3D program!
gb-WOW. also very amazing. Wish I could sit down for 3 hours and just focus on 1 chracter/picture!
cool pixely dudes. I like the anikin skywalker dude someone posted ealier.. hehe (I think that was anikin.. OR HIS EVIL BROTHER!! lol sorry...)
I'm going to be vigorously studying for finals this weekend, but I plan on making some photoshoppy things... lol perhaps finish the first episode of The Dog Catcher; I'll post a link to it sometime... I had a thread going on it about a week or 2 ago, but noone replied. But i've moved a lot on it so far; I plan to color it in w/ photoshop sometime... hehe
other than that, I've also made a few new characters, perhaps for some comic series. Indeed, in fact, for comic series. I might post a preview of my new website, since there's a character in charge for each one of the pages.. muwaahaha! :D
great work everyone, it's all really fun to look at and inspirational!
...wait!! one question: has anyone seen Darby Conley's work? he does Get Fuzzy, a comic for the newspapers... I love his style too!
I just finished 3 pages of the comic that I'm working on.
Have a look and tell me what you think.
There will be more later on. :)
Clickhere .
good work on the comic so far :D
now keep doing it or "i'll bash your face in!" :D
Gb great work on the pic to, love the way there is no cel shading but the image still looks great :)
mel, i just love your style! excelent pics!!!!! :D
xup, what's up? that one's a little bloody :D
lauradot, i like those ones, although i think you gotta work a little bit more in the perspective of the hands.
i hope i have time to post one of mine soon.
ok, my post got erased....
here it is again: i did this sketch last nigh. hope yo like it...the usual stuff i do....a girl, a bird, not traced though, just the pencil drawing.
3 post in a row :D sorry bout that....i just got a new one to post, a fast sketch, hopt you like it. bye
Lauradot: I love the poses you put on your characters. Do you have a partciular source for poses or do you just think them up?
Sorry if this has been asked before but I've been away from this forum for a while...
Ack, mad problems whenever I've tried to post to the forum - cannot find server = mortal enemy. :)
So there was a bit of feedback with that post, but i've forgotten it. Oh well, probably no wisdom lost. :p
mel - hey, you really dont need any feedback, hope you managed on finishing it. whatever it is. :D
Morths - great! its really hard to fit detail into that amount of space, and to know what to miss out. i like the second one especially. :o
xup - i'd have those socks if they were longer .. (actually, i have some pink and black. but anyway.) Just that her hands (i know, i know i really shouldnt be crit'ing hands)should look like they could cover her face - they seem a little small. But easily fixed. :D
anti-shock - sure, its a little insane. but very dynamic. need more. draw. :D
argonauta - i cant look at the picture directly while posting, but i do remember they were good. nice pose on one of them, and nice hand on the other one. [jealous] :D
Okay! and now on to me! (since when did i start using exclamation marks - mel, this is all your fault.)
Those two particular ones are based off stuff - the stretching one is from magazine photo (my clothes creases need work), but I stopped looking at it after i got the rough work on the sweater done. You can tell from my original drawing - she's about twice as long in the waist, i did some major adjustment in PS - and the fact my hands are definatly NOT copied. arg. :D
The second (i just noticed what horrible colouring she has. ugh, the skin.) comes from my recent interest in spiderman pics and perspective in them, i cant exactly claim one image as inspiration, but its been gradually affecting me over time. must be the (deadly) combination of comics and New York!
Anyway, i've written too much. might post a sketch later if i can be bothered to plug my scanner in. :) (bet this at the top of the page. AGAIN. )
xup878
Thanks alot for the kind words. Nice work on the character! I like her expression.

Sorry chaps been so busy haven't really had time to do any of my toon work (i'm going freelance in design so i've been setting up the business, just opened a business a/c and my stationary is being printed, working on the web site, also got a few clients lined up)

very nostalgic. Very nice. I like it toony! :D
im REALLY in need of an artist.
does anybody want to do grafix for a platform game?
anyone at all?

Hey, I'm back!
alright, first the comments:
WOW Mel! I like your creature thing! turned out AWESOME!!
argonauta-sweeeet style! I love the feel to your characters.
heya toony-- cool rose pic! nice detail on the clothes and rose-- interesting effect, having a realistic rose and a cartoonish character. :D
gb- sweet! great shading. cool background, cool characters.
alright, I posted this some time ago (but not in this thread):
http://www.tahnee.com/cel6.swf
it's a comic I'm working on called The Dog Catcher. I've done like 21 "pages" to it, so I should really update it, because this version only has 6 along with text bugs. I'd like some feedback on it; just so see how far I should take the first "episode" or "part" or whatever. It's really sketchy and still in B&W. You have to highlight some text in order to read it, though, because I was messing around w/ rpg systems then and had the text tool all screwy..
hey, I'd love to work on a platform game; I'm making a few myself, but I'm getting overwhelmed in homework, plus my new website, so I don't have much time to work on things---arrrg!! otherwise, I'd be happy to do it, but I don't think I have the time! :(
I'll post a pic of Crazy Grandma, a character I came up with (with the help of a friend) yesterday. heheheee
crazy... like a cross-between a grandma/medusa/edward scissor hands... cool!
Here's another one. I need to change his feet though.(Just goofy experimenting)
ok , heres a few sketches ive done (quite old, honest!)
if anyone wants to colour them, then go ahead, jus let me see what you done, coz id like to see?!
