thanks - i think i'm going to extend it. someones gonna climb out of the darker guys mouth, and someone is going to climb out of that guys mouth untill it gets down to a microscopic scale.. then they'll eat eachother.
fbidefense this one doesn't make much sense.. and i kind of gave up at the end..
crappyfightscene this is a poorly done fight scene.. the end is nice though
my work has been pretty low quality lately, but it makes for longer ani's..

thanks! i was really pleased with the smoke trails.. so i made an fbi 2. this one is 50 times the animation the first 2 were, but i ended up staying up 38 hours to do it.. i do all my best work when i'm sleep deprived.

good gosh man! thats friggin crazy! Excellent work once again. I really admire your style. It makes me forget I am watching a flash cartoon and makes me think I'm watching some from TV. Very smooth. Great work. Mind if I e-mail you with some questions on how you pull that off?

Anywho, I've been a flash animator for about 4 years now, my brother and I have created an online series called College University- in actuality, our main focus was the writing, and character design- but as the series goes on- we are also putting alot more effort into the animation as well-

My site which is Animetia Check out the flash section, The anime section is down at the moment. @_@ Im re-designing it. Some flash backdrops I made of right from the get go are Tropical mrow1 and Tropical mrow 2 Some of my backdrops are crazy and can really bog down the system.
Like 70+ layers in some with alpha's, animations, and transparencies. Not to mention I did not do the smart thing of using coding to randomize my rain on a few of the backdrops (Planning on optimizing sometime @_@) I have a habit of making highly layered tediously detailed things, making others and then merging them together. But a few run fine and look pretty.
I am making several animated movies but I kinda like procrastinating on other projects a lot ^_^
fiddlestick5 - cool stuff! I really like the smoke trail effects.
dmz - looks cool, though it seemed to take ages to load for such a short animation.
parks2 - nice little series you got there. I like the monkeys and lemurs! They Rock!
Ryukuchan - those are great backgrounds!

Great stuff man! Short and sweet. I really like your shading too. Seems that more and more often people just use gradients to shade. So it's great to see some nice shade work! Keep it up man!

nice animation. i like the movment of the ballon and string at the start.
about the string at the end. if you look at string falling (wow, sounds fun, huh) you'll probably notice that when it falls, the bottom starts to fall the same time as the top, so the top will touch the floor *after* the bottom has fallen, because the only force on it is gravity. nothing pushed it, which is what it looks like happend. if that makes sence. :D
i'll see if i can do it in flash later to show what i meen!

The one thing, at the start the sounds are a little out, but they soon fix themselves.
The grass looks a little odd as does the beam from the ship, but apart from that it's all pretty good!
I like the alien guy :)
I dont have a sound esditor and I had to use what I found. what could I do to make the beam look real?
nice ani, i'd get rid of the oulines on the beam, maybe make it a bit transparent and use some lightly colored gradients to give it a glow.. but that's just me

With the grass, you could make it flat, or you could maybe use the paintbrush tool to draw small blades of grass.

I have been a longtime reader of these forums and have learned a great deal from everyone as well as enjoyed your work. I am a high school art teacher and I have the good fortune to teach a few computer design classes also. We use CorelDRAW and PhotoSHOP mostly, but we do a pretty big unit of Flash also.
I'm still a newbie to using Flash, but I thought I would post the second flash cartoon I've made to use as a demo for my students.
When I made this I didn't have a graphics tablet and I just drew it all with a mouse. I never have finished it. I have since gotten a graphire2 tablet as suggested by folks here. I think it's going to be a great help.
Anyway, here's my early learning stage entry:

Very slick, I like the way the guy looks, very detailed. I only use the mouse for my stuff, I don't think I could go to tablet.

graphics tablets a very useful, i couldnt do a drawing without variable sized brush strokes ever again!

yeah, tablets are wonderful.. i really don't use mine to its fullest potential though.. all flash for me (despite the 1024 pressure levels).. and i have a nice little airbrush tool neatly tucked away in its origonal packageing somewhere...

first ani that i've ever done with sound... except for a few old ones.. it isn't finished yet, but it will be by tomorrow.. i dunhave any decent video compression programs on me computer so it's a rather obese 6 megs.... i guess it's not really worth your time unless you have a highspeed connection... i don't even know if angelfire lets you hotlink like this..

probably because i need to look at some sound tutorials in flash... it was also a bitmap sequence.. so it actually kind of about file size (i intend on editing each frame in adobe)
