I want Jerry Rice to break Tiger Woods "record" now ;)
Bleh !
I want a cup of tea.
pffft...!
viking violinists in a canoe? really?
who else was shocked to find Wannabe tapdancing during the opening ceremony
puwhahahahahahahahaha!
hahahaha
I have to say I only saw about an hour or so of the opening but I was REALLY impressed with the production. The video projection stuff was awesome. When it first started I thought it was going to be awful but once it started to pick up and they did that whole mountain thing I was impressed
personally i didnt care for it. after what china did seeing a bunch of river dancers really kinda just brought the Meh from me, plus those chicks were not really even playing the violins which brough it down a bit
That's what everyone says. You can never compare what China did. There will never be something of that caliber again.
I still think the planning and execution was incredible. The video was awesome.
This part was really cool http://www.flickr.com/photos/89053122@N00/4353367684
Exactly how many ****ing times do I have to ban a *****?
i dunno man, this wasnt even CLOSE. soon as they had one weird looking dude tape dancing on top of what looked like a lopsided cake i had had enough.
"this local dancer convinced that opening cermony commite that he was the only man for this job" uhhh greaaaat, even the luger that died hated the opening ceremony
okay now I'm not liking MT as a hosting provider
They won't allow me to setup a db via a cms install. I have to create the db via MyPhpAdmin or the account center.
I really wanted to run xoops again.
The video work was cool. But, I agree that the performance seemed like a rip-off of several different popular live shows.
Riverdance
Stomp
Peter Pan
Cirque Du Soleil
seems a little weird that there is a winter sport called 'skeleton'
...where someone on a dinky little sled with no steering or brakes travels at 80 miles per hour and pulls 5 gees.
I wonder if the name relates to the potential.
Better than a sport called "potential death"... which, I would actually try.
Took it from digg, but the entire Popular Science archive is searchable:
