the majority of weight put on seeding is with postcount in the arena. However there are other factors including past MM performance (particularly ctrant & flashlight in the final 2 last year makes their rankings go to the top), a little bit of weight on image quality posted in other threads, and overall arena participation (just posting "hey that looks great" isn't as good as posting an image). And the rest is super secret mod stuff that no one will ever know.

Awesome, so somehow I, someone who has never showed any artistic qualities and has never posted in the Arena once, am paired with ctrant. Crap.

been there, done that. didn't change my ranking much. looks like I have discs79 in the first round. iirc, he has a very cool, graffiti-ish style. Might get my arse handed to me quickly.

Don't worry man, I've never battled either and I got put up against a participant in probably the best battle I've ever seen. Looks like I'll be submitting a screen shot of my desktop and be done with it.

I like that idea of just submitting your desktop. I'll just set the stock image as my wallpaper first... :)

All stocks were hand picked by myself and another moderator here. They were handed out completely at RANDOM. If you don't like your stock, sorry. You'll just have to be creative.
I didn't even know what stock i was getting until i received my own PM.

For you n00bs (just in case), you need to use at least one part of the stock sent to you. You can use as many other stocks from other stock photo sites as you wish. Remember when voting begins, you'll be judged by your peers, so do whatever you feel will win the votes (no R-rated material, please ;) ).
