good job. Color and frame by frame usually distance themselves.
i like the robosuit knockdown, the debris look so cool.. and the robosuit guy looks alot better with the frame by framity.
:doughnut:
though i have to say i liked bw shooter ani better.. i'm not sure why, i'd suggest useing duller colors, but that's just my opinion (considering all i use is dull colors)..
:doughnut:
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!

Merry Christmas everyone!

Chapter One is online
www.rivend.com/hobortSeries/
nice one, i especialy liked your choice of music... and the getting hit by the bus.. and the dragging of the body..
well, with my long term exposure to slow burning plastic coupled with the acute carbon monoxide poisoning i suffer each and every day, i have inevidably found myself hitting rock bottom. With my inabillity to focus along with my diminished sense of shape and coordination i have produced this soundless bit:
If you had one bullet...
http://members.cox.net/toastybuns/bullet.htm
that's right people, rock bottom.
have him go to shoot him self but have the gun back fire, ricochet off his sholder bone, into micheal, who's nose flys off, and stabs hitler in the neck.
Ian: I kinda like the idea but it needs a bit more working on.
Dogmaster:Excellent, I expecially like the added vibration of the window and the eskimo getting and ice cube maker!
Fospher: I like the way the background hill move separately to the houses. The characters look good though the walk cycles are a little out, the feet slide along the road.
Fiddlestick: Urm, If you want to keep with your past anims you gotta make him shoot himself.
Good work peeps!
Now for my New years contribution:
In The Rain
(The rain is the snow effect from before but modified)
Happy New Year!
Its the dude that used to reside in your avatar. Cool.Quote:
:).
Thanks for the feedback.
For more on hobort, check out his backbone and interactive game in the
[hobort: the game] (Animation when you beat the game, too!)
There's also two unreleased videos of hobort, I'll put them online again.
snazzy game!
i've finished part of one bullet continued. he's going to shoot himself, it will then ricochet off his skull, out his eye socket right between hitlers eyes. then jacksons head is going to explode. or he'll be mauled by a mob of axe weilding children. either way there will be blood.
i've only done up to the gun fireing. it's got some decent animation though..

Oh fiddle, I always love your work. :) . Hurry up and get 100 post so you can make a sweet avatar.
A, quite pathetic if I might say walk cycle. Cant remember where I found the tutorial for this one,oh well...
Enjoy it, if at all possible. :D

how the hell did u come up with that idea?
Its not that bad, its got a nice cartoony bounce. Try adding more frames you seem to only have 3 or 4, and it will look a lot smoother.Quote:

Hmmm... Thanks Pooon! That raised my spirit a bit. :D
About the frames: it's 5 or 6 frames. I guess it is about time I’ll add some more frames, heheh.
here are some scenes for my upcoming short film, titled Shimo. If you would like to work on the project, please contact me.

i haven't quite gotten around to finishing the one bullet thing.. but thanks for the comments--
my friends having me build a website for him -
http://members.cox.net/toastybuns/18woj/18woj.html
this is what i've got so far of the greeting page.. he's throwing an orange peel.. but i dunno exactly what i'm gonna do for the transition...
and here's another one i have yet to finish
http://members.cox.net/toastybuns/temp/axemurder.html
guts and blood are going to spill from the tree.. and maybe the tree will axe him back..
Nice work guys:)
excalibur if you want people to reply to your message why not put it as a post in the main art and anime board rather than the anim exchange
Here's my cotribution:
http://aim2win.bizland.com/okideas/ufo.html
It's all about a UFO, and a sheep! :)
Great work Olly! I really enjoy your shorts. Very quality work. I love the shadow on the UFO and how the sheep becomes darker when the UFO is directly above it. Great Job man.

I was making a 30 second demo for my students today. They have to do their own 30 second flick now. hehe.
Space Puke
PS: This isn't meant to be anything epic hehe
hey fiddel great animation, the second one.love the style.
Thanks Munkufust! I'm glad you noticed the shadow, I'm starting to try and add mor details to my anims :)
I'm still waiting for a sequal to your four studs anim, the way your characters walk is cool! :D
Radar Brain I can't view your anim, I don't get a 404 I get this internet optimzer thing that i've never had before,...?
cool, this thread seems to be going strong. too bad i havent posted in my own thread for AGES.
i have been concentrating on web design for a while. heres what i came up with while experimenting.
http://www.cartoonfox.hostrocket.com
but now i think i'm ready to go back to animation. i've got a story for a christmas animation, staring cartoonfox and some of his friends, cartoonrabbit and cartoonbear, but that might change.
if all goes to plan, i could end up being maybe 3 minutes long.
but i'm gonna have to start off slow, i'm out of practice!
anyway, i'm glad everyone is enjoying this thread. keep up the great work everyone, and keep enjoying.
peace.
Olly K, you're not missing very much. hehe.. it was just a super fast demo I did for my students.
I'm not sure why you can't view it though. I've viewed it on several different machines and connections..
Wow, what a fun thread.
I just started getting into Flash, I'm still learning, but I'm finally able to finish some cartoons. Here's a pair of shorts I cooked up recently.

http://itsgravy.keenspace.com/extra/flash/bus.html
Wogoat: i'm very impressed! it's hard to believe that you are still a beginner!
Bacon man: i REALLY like that website design. nice, simple and clean. i remember some old designs you tossed around the board, and i think it's great on what you ended up doing (drastic change from the originals if i recall correctly :) )
anyways, good work everyone. i haven't really touched flash for a while. getting into more 3d stuff in school. no time for flash for me. but i would like to throw together a neat flash portfolio site. i do have a little flash game thingy i did last year, but i need to figure out how to externally preload a movie because a regular preloader doesn't work... oh well.
Great work Wogoat!
You say you're a beginner, thats very impressive!
The first one animation wise is a lot better, though I found the second one alot funnier :D
Radar Brain, I'm able to view your anim now, don't know why I couldn't before:confused:
I don't really get it to be honest, are the green blobs at the end suppossed to be puke?
I learned the basics of shape tweening about 4 years ago, but I lost interest in Flash due to other projects. I just started using it again a couple months ago and I'm trying to give myself a crash course in everything.
I'm working on a longer animation, but it'll probably take me at LEAST a month to finish it, but here's what I've got so far.
http://itsgravy.keenspace.com/extra/flash/gypsy.html
And Bacon, I love the site design. very sharp. And I hope some toons get posted there eventually, the ones I've seen of yours are fun.
Yeah.. there was nothing much to get. It was supposed to be puke in zero gravity. Like I say, it was a very quick demo just showing some of the tools in Flash.
I shouldn't even have posted it hehe.
great stuff woogat
octy the octpus 2, it isn't finished yet.. plants are going to float and twist around..
http://members.cox.net/toastybuns/temp/octy2.html
thanks 763.. I dunno if I'll ever get that one finished though
here's one of my animations, it's from my site.
robot
kaco: hot linking error
Olly k: nice one, the shadows on the sheep are a nice touch.
Thanks fiddlestick! Nice octopus, nice work with the tentacles movement and the water underneath him :)
Wogoat, Nice work, I like your style. When you construct your anims do you sketch them out roughly, then add detail and then colour? Only thats' how it appeared from your last one :)
Kaco, 404 error :(
K so here's my first ever walk cycle :)
here.
I scanned in a cycle from my schol sketchbook, taced it and the added colour then shading. What do you think?
umm, you're gonna have to copy and paste the URL into another browser window, sorry.
here's another one: (copy and paste)
http://www.generic.150m.com/kacolandia/media/suade.swf
Actually the card reading lady is the first time I've tried doing that.
With the other ones I posted I just drew them as is.
But I'm wanting the other one to be really smooth and fairly lifelike so I'm doing the sketchy version first to get the movements right.
After doing that I decided I should do a shorter animation with that method to see if it worked and this is what I ended up with it.
(Sorry if the joke's pretty tacky)
http://itsgravy.keenspace.com/extra/...onleyxmas.html
And that walk cycle looks very nice. Good work.
