Anyone get the new Danger Mouse cd? I heard 1 track and not too sure about it. I think I'll have to sit down and really listen.
I am at work listening to it and I have to say it is definitely different but I am really enjoying it.

Cheb Khaled - Liberté
Scientist - Rids the World of the evil curse of the vampires - seriously some good Jamaican dub. Just happened to run across the remastered version.
Eminems new cd is pretty decent. Catchy beats but ****ed up lyrics.
i don't like his choppy lyrical rhythm on the new album. he's trying too hard to sound different, and it's on EVERY song it seems.
Yeah a few of the songs are awkward with that style but at least he is trying something different. I also thought it was funny that he used a vocoder in part of a song but all it is was him mumbling and not ever singing with it.
Still better then 90% of the crap being pumped out lately- especially in that genre.
it came up saying I have to wait 30 seconds to post since I just posted in another thread...so I waited and posted. Double post. WTF.
I'm going to have to say you're definitely in the opposite mindset as I am in regards to that genre.
That CD is horrid. That nasally, angry Urkel staccato delivery voice he's pushing out there is terrible. And the beats all sound like Weird Al Yankovic meets Dr. Dre - synthetic and just hokey.
It's dreadful.
there are maybe 5-6 decent tracks on that cd.
the step father song, the song about his mom, are both so over the top and just not enjoyable at all to listen to.
the hook on one song is pretty much an exact rehash from the hook on another of his songs with the words changed.
Alot of it just seems dated, and im kind of shocked he did'nt have a tribute to Proof on this cd(when i saw the track title bagpipes from baghdad i thought for sure it would be amazing then a listened to a diss of mariah carey... seriously still on the mariah carey thing?), maybe the one hes releasing in the fall. Overall its let down for me, as im constantly flipping from one good song past 3 bad ones to the next good one, and if his next cd is the same way i will feel like i have just bought 1 cd of good music, and 1 of filler.
I had high hopes this would be a drastic turn around from the soulja boy/Lil Wayne era/error..
as much as they suck little girls love them. and critics are afraid of little girls.
i have better flow, and lyrical content when i sleep talk.
Pete Rock - Underground Classics
Vee - State of Mind
:thumbsup::thumbsup:
Well I guess I am in the minority. I like about half the cd. I never said I loved it and it was my favorite cd I just enjoy it(for the most part)
What good rap cd's have you all been putting in your playlist? It is summertime and my taste in music is changing with the season. I need some good rap to chill out to.

I'm still liking the Mercedes Benz mixtapes better - http://mercedes-benz.tv/mixedtape A lot of hit or miss, but I'm introduced to new acts monthly.
I really can't recommened this album enough. Tallest Man on Earth - Shallow Graves.
I can not stop listening to it.
Kate nash has been coming up in my pandora alot. Her accent makes me narb like a mad man.
You can't beat a bit of Beck - especially Odelay for the summertime.

Woah, sorry about that. I thought I read the rules regarding footers and it was all ok but it must have been another forum then. Sorry about that.
Beck is still cool though yeah? :)
EDIT: I did read the sizing correctly. On the usercp panel where it allows you to upload your image it says:
Note: The maximum size of your custom image is 500 by 100 pixels or 19.5 KB (whichever is smaller).
That was supposed to have been changed from the default VBulletin standard to the long-standing 300 px by 40 px standard we've had here at FK since the beginning.
Confusing, and for that we'll apologize.
Anyone listen to Ray Sings, Basie Swings ? Seems like an interesting mix.
I have just been listening to Dub FX for the past 2 days non stop.
Nathan Davis... new to me, but a great discovery.
Loving a re-visit of Social Distortion.
Makes me miss Southern Cal.
Been listening to a couple friends band all day at work. They are the kind of band that has A LOT of energy and the crowd that goes to their shows have the energy to match. Their recordings are good and they have a lot of live stuff you can listen too. They will definitely be the next big band to come out of Vermont like Phish was.
I recommend "Gatsby The Great" or "Beethoven & Greene". You will either like this type of music or hate it.
