this is a tough call... i love the firein image #2 but would have liked to see a bit more color and i like the color in image #1 but would like to see better masking around the building/woods and the sky, where it goes from yellow to blue looks unnatural... imho

image 2 got my vote, though.
great work with the fire. it looks very well done, especially the flames on the knight's helmet. the reflection of the castle is very impressive, how it fades out close to the shore, wonderful attention to detail there.
image 1, very creative style, you pulled it off quite well, imho. more than a worthy entry for the finals my good man.
