Jwin is technically right on this...you should use something from the exact image that was posted previously...........however... i do see that you used the monk and the cigarettes which are in the previous image. They are there, but it's not directly related. I say keep it up and whne you reach the point where you can figure out how to mask out specific things from the previous image, you'll understand the difference.
EDIT: I see that you actually used the image of the monk very subtely...good job!...keep up the work.

yeah, i added the original monk into the backgroung after JWin's comment,
thanks guys

So in some places it seems like there is a line to do this, and then some seem like it's just random participation. So I'll just ask, can I throw something in here ?
-
-
go for it! generally one will just say they are gonna go next so someone doesn't get cut off.
./edit
willy beat me to it

Ok oh, well I am at home, bored with my grande caramel coffee enema, waiting for squiddy's return, so I might as well throw something in here. *opens photoshop*
:D

Ok here comes nothing, I had hell of a time trying to make something and still use something of FishTanks, but in the end I somehow ended up with this :

I planted that monk's head on a better body obviously, but uhm I know there are several clashes of styles in this, which is just the way I meant it to be. I literally pulled that one out of my butt. ( <-- me trying not to use coarse language haha ).
Anyway enjoy...

Looking good noiselab! I like the old cinema style you got going on. One thing I dont see is a clear message, or a clear direction in where you wanted this to go. But, not all images need that, or even want that. Enough rambling, good job dude.
-
impressive noiselab
I like the composition. Surreal in a way. I'll be dropping a return soon!

hey nepzap I worked on this image before I saw your post, but it's my first post so i'm sure you'll forgive a nub. i'm not actually that humble, but oh well.

welcome to the arena ishbo.
it appears you havent really followed the theme of this battle in using an element from the previous volley or even using the right canvas size. On top of that, you only put diagonal lines over a picture of a tie. Please read the rules of this battle first (page 1) and then look at what others have done to get an idea of how this stuff works.
-
if im correct the thing in the tie is that tear drop doily thing from the last image. But yeh, i fail to see any real image manipulation...
-
I think it does use part of previous image, and size seems right to me
-
woah! NJP3...did you create a sockpuppet?
-
Sorry man, Ishbo is actually a friend of mine, at my house at the moment... he posted accidentally while i was signed in...
-
Well, img size = 350x700 (as established in rules page 1)
paisley from previous image was used on tie
I'll take it as a compliment that you didn't notice the paisley on the tie was manipulated (thanks for the advice though, I had not really glanced at the rules. I do think my image works out, if you consider).
-
my mistake. it is the right size. for some reason it looked tall

Personally I'd like to see a lot more 'kung fu' goin' on, but I think the manip on the tie is pretty tight. The name on the collar looks quite nice, too.
