awww
I waaant one.
Please make me a stuffed toy version of Mr Chompy!
Im liking your blending style El-t.
Hehe...Mr. Chompy. That's great. :D
chompy chomp chomp!
lol, yeah, you said that already. And I forgot about it -_-
those two creatures are cool. I like the "unblended tones" style. I dunno if you wanted it to be like that, but there are some white edges that look like you didn't paint em.
hehe a stuffed Chompy, that'll be a fun summer project :D
Thanks for the nice compliments, I'm glad the blending style is working out-- cuz it's all I can manage with a real paintbrush :D I probably left some edges blank-- in fact I know I did on Chompy, cuz ... well it's hard to paint around fur. :D
Chompy's a vegetarian, btw. Unless if you feed him a book you don't like or something. But I guess books would still be considered "vegetarian" because they originate from trees, which are plants...? :D
Next I'll make a gremlin, I think. Then I'll go out and get more canvas! :D
well I can give a hint on the "blank" spots side.
And I know I've said this before but: start from the background of your image and work your way to the front.
Really you have no idea how much this helps with blending, perspective.
Also for doing edges: a little paint on a flat brush works wonders, use the edges of the brush and use steady even strokes from the edge out, after that its blending all your seams together.
but I say again: I like the way you layer your paint. love the texture it creates, love the look.
(dunno know if you know this, but when you wash your brushes after use, put a little soap on them and shape them flat again, it keeps them in shape longer and the shape of your brush is like the shape of your pencil.)
