To answer both Mclelun and Evaman:
I drew everything by hand and imported it to flash, where I traced and colored it. Then I put it in photoshop and added the texture and a displacementmap to make the drawing wrap around the texture.
Is that a digital painting or a photoshop or what Evaman? It's cool.
BlinkOk: Merry christmas to you too :)

It's a photoshop t-shirt design. I was going to do a similar painting however.
And so it's time to make holiday art now I see?
Very nice for the start.
Here's just a little something that I desided to add to my personal photography section of my portfolio.

Nats-- I love the dark weird moodiness-- and nice job on the anatomy!
Render, you brought that together so fast! How long is the whole project going to take?
Evaman-- just some advice, you're into photography right? A really good way to improve your drawing skills is by drawing what you took photos of (I'm serious!)-- you know what you took and why and what it looked like in real life. Draw your friends, you'll feel like you know them better. It's always better to draw from your own sources rather than someone else's (unless of course if you can't go deep-water-diving to snap a photo of an angler fish :P ) have fun with your designs :D
And now I bring to you my latest watercolor... VIVA LA EVOLUCION!!!

LMAO! Nice one El! Global warming and the need to look after our environment? What? PSH! Great concept.
Thanks for your comment on the last one. She was sketched out in like 5 mins, so many flaws with her proportions its not even funny. I haven't drawn anything on paper in ages, sooo rusty.
haha thanks Nats! :D Yeah your drawing shows a pretty good understanding of anatomy, and for a crazy quick sketch its like... ah yay anatomy! XD
Merry (belated) Christmas, here was this year's card design:

And Christmas present to self... a blog, or rather... an art blog! This way I can give a general idea of what's been going on in my sketchbook, along with links to my latest pieces n stuff. Enjoy :D

PS I know the CSS breaks in IE7... Works in IE 6, FF, Opera & Safari though... darn you M$! XD
that´s a cool thing,- maybe I should consider a blog too. Perhaps put the link in your signature that way I and others might look at it more frequently ;)
as long as it runs in ... opera ^^Quote:

@mclelun: vectors are cool,- and those 2 are defenitly nice,- but have you ever considreed buying or working with a wacom tablet?,- i think it would work great with your style giving them some xtra lightning or smooth blended shadings.
renderhjs
ya, I do have an old wacom with me, didnt use it for colouring that much.
But will look into this area once I bought a new intuos 3, saving money now. hehe
El-T BWAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! BRILLIANT!
Merry merry to you too hun. Hope you had a good one.
Mclelun Great work as always.
Happy new year guys & gals.

a little progress on my project:

the market street ,- still not texturized

the train station fully texturized
render, you frickin rule my world. I only wish i had an ounce of your talent.
Renderhjs
I'm working on that talent. You wait and see me with some cool stuff soon. For now however, the attention is all on you; great job. :)
This is a finalized vector that didn't take me a whole lot of time to do. It's a photo I took of a batch of flowers outside a mall in Florida, USA. I'd captured a nice shot of a Wasp, as it was approaching.

thx lefteyewilly and Evaman, I am making progress in this project.
@Evaman: have a look at http://vectormagic.stanford.edu/ the latest vector tracing technology for free on the net. Esspecially the comparison site wich shows why it is so much better. But you propably need Illustrator or CorelDraw to convert the EPS or SVG to flash able import formats.
back to my latest work, been modeling and texturing this 1st scene of our movie (team of 2). And this scene is almost done- just some little fixes here and there:
http://mmvr-des.burg-halle.de/blogs/...texturized.jpg
all 3dsmax with mentalRay (except the typo). Note that the character still has no textures in this scene as he is a proxy in that scene to better measure units for the modeling

I got my very first tablet from my good friend Mr. W McBee.
An incredible gift, and I can't thank him enough.
His one request: A desktop. (I think he got jipped on that deal )
So part exercise and part thanks: I give you Carmen Electra.
Tablet, Photoshop, layers and brushes.
Time: 22.5hours.
Disclaimer: This is the first time I've ever used a tablet, I found it incredibly hard to use my left hand (I always used my right for operating a mouse) for digital work and to get my hand eye co-ordination in. Sorry if I ruined your sex-idol because of that.
nah dont worry looks pretty good technique wise for a first painting. From my expierence it takes quite some time anyway to get used to the style and ductus of the tool.
chronos update:
2nd szene done rendering the last 2 days(8000 frames, 4 layers, 1100*620 res), now we need to cut that scene. The layers include
- Daylight rendering
- toon shade
- falloff pass for the line art
- z- depth
and are brought together in After Effects.
Here are some shots from after effects (you can still see the catchers on the borders):

we rendered all the frames on 9 quad core computers (36 processors) via network rendering wich works like a charm- the next scenes are already set up so that they can be rendered next
