Don't we have enough stickies in this forum...?
seriously, this thread deserves to drop to the second page every once in a while.
the only reason why we stickied the video and picture threads were to deter people from creating new threads one after another just to laugh at one link at a time.
I dont see people posting single threads on specific shows. hence, no reason to sticky.
i dont care what you non tv posters say, im sick of having to go 2-3 pages deep to find this thread.
search function is your friend.
only wanktards use search for a thread only 1 or 2 pages back.
Random gaps in the weekly showing of Burn Notice? Wtf.
The office does that too. So strange.
Virgo, USAnetwork is now delaying Burn notice for at least 8 days. Meaning you won't be able to view the show at hulu or usanetwork.com till at least 8 days after the episode shows. Same thing SCI-FI did with BSG
What would be a cause of that? Shooting delays? Bad ratings?
Anyone seen Summer Heights High? Someone told my gf about it so we watched the first ep last night. It seems like it could be alright I'll give it a few more episodes before I make a verdict.
It's roughly based around this high school and it is filmed like a documentary/reality show style and follows the story of 3 different characters- an ******* bully kinda guy, a gay drama teacher, and a new prissy female exchange student but they're all played by the same guy.
There seems to be a lot of swearing and no very pg related subjects for it to be an ABC sponsored show.
i wanted to protest posting in here until it was unstickied, but WTF. live and let live.
Been watching 'This American Life' which is a showtime show but is on Netflix now.
It's kind of like the NPR show "all things considered", but a bit more reality worthy. Bascially shows quick 15-20 minute segments of peoples lives and a snippet of their ideology and why they do what they do.
It's kind of addicting, sometimes slightly bland, but most of the time is thought provoking in a good non-threatening/non-judgemental way.
Highly recommended.
re sticky ...doesn't anybody use bookmarks or favorites?? I have a folder full of FK links.

The Carprica pilot was actually pretty good.
Discovery has an insteresting new show starting next week called The Colony(http://dsc.discovery.com/tv/colony/colony.html)
The Colony is a controlled experiment to see exactly what it would take to survive and rebuild under these circumstances. For 10 weeks, a group of 10 volunteers, whose backgrounds and expertise represent a cross-section of modern society, are isolated in an urban environment outside Los Angeles and tasked with creating a livable society.
I know one of the people in that show!
He is such a crazy guy. He's nothing less then a genius. I hope they don't make him look stupid with lame editing tactics. I am pretty pumped for the show. So weird after all these years to actually watch one where I know someone in it.
http://dsc.discovery.com/tv/colony/bios/john-cohn.html
i had initially thought last night was the first episode i was let down that it doesnt start till next week.
Yeah next Tuesday. We were fooled too :(
Really liked The Colony. Some contrived sh*t here and there but I think if I squint one eye it will feel real.
I just caught up on Weeds from scratch. I hate Nancy's character. She done nothing but the dumbest thing one can do from day one. I kept hoping she'd find her marbles but it just plain annoying watching characters you're invested in suffer from bad writing. Otherwise, great show! :D
Are you totally caught up till this weeks ep? Nancy has to be the dumbest character ever. She should have prob died in season 2 haha.
The colony was pretty decent. I think I like it more because I know john.
Nancy could f*ck up a free lunch. Wth is with her, "I'm hypnotizing youz" look every time she gets caught? Seriously, where is this character headed?
Yeah especially after what she just did in this weeks ep. She has to be killed soon. It can't keep just working out for her. I think the show has spread itself too thin now that all the characters are way off onto their own paths and that there isn't enough time to develop anything. This show seriously needs to be an hour to be able to do anything meaningful with all the characters they have going now.
Anyone watching Leveage?
So sad. The should could be so much more but it suffers from bad directing. Everything said and done is shown so overtly. Lets have a long drawn out conversation that lasts just long enough for a burning flipped over car will explode. Bad guys cant' shoot and run they have to wait till at point blank range, then shoot at the door rather then thru the rolled down window.
i couldnt make it though an entire episode of darkblue, the acting was horrible, the plot was horrible. just overall horrible.
Thanks for the heads up. I saw a trailer and I admit I was curious.
Hung is just Weeds with sex instead of pot. It does however have potential and has a certain amount of legitimacy in how it takes place against the backdrop of an economically struggling Detroit. You can't help but agree with his decisions and the characters are highly scalable. I just hope it doesn't fall flat like Weeds. Nancy should be on her way to being king-pin, not dealing with baby daddy issues.
I was actually thinking back over the seasons...what has Nancy actually EVER done? I mean when she was with U-Turn she did some little stuff and also when she was trying to prove herself and go over the border with that loaded car. Other then that I think she has always just been around never really DOING anything. This season is wearing VERY thin. I think it is almost done. Too bad it is still popular because of the content so they will squeeze it for a few more years at least.
So weeds was ****ed up this week. Their formula goes like this - QUICKLY resolve whatever the cliff hanger was from last week, a small weird thing, one major ****ed up scenario, and then a major cliff hanger. Next episode.
This is the one I'm waiting for... http://www.hbo.com/apps/schedule/Sch...OCUS_ID=672009
Actually **** that. Mad Men series 3 starts in 10 days!
Has anybody seen 1 & 2? I'm working my way through season 2 for the second time at the moment.
Also I noticed that The Trailer Park Boys were on Jimmy Kimmel last week, has anybody in the US started watching the reruns? It's been a firm favourite of mine for years now... 7 seasons and a movie and hardly anyone I speak to has heard of it.
I have STILL yet to attempt to watch that as like you said it has already gone so many seasons it would take forever to catch up.
Watched Hung. Might give it a chance for a season.
Mad Men still one of my all time favorites, definitely worth catching up on eventually WannaBe
I've been getting into Man Vs Food a lot lately.
Although I have been known to watch whole seasons in single sitting, Trailer Park Boys is great for just... having for when you need a quick laugh.
Once you get to know the characters you'll find you really want to check in on them every now and then. You'll watch 7 seasons in no time this way.
Yeah depending on how long the show is and how many eps there are per season I have knocked out a whole series before in like a week. I watched 3 eps of HUNG last night and will probably watch it till the end of the season.
I will try to find the others and get started on them. Perhaps instead of obsessing and flying through 1 show at a time I will just alternate between a few.
I gotta say True Blood is doing everything I hoped for. Turning out to be the re-envisioned old school monster fest I wanted.
I didn't want to give it a chance because I am pretty sick of all the vampire teenibopper hype lately. How would you describe it?
