The styles in this thread seem divided between scans/illustrations ( Such as RipX's warrior girl and strangelife's Ninja girl, both really excellent ) and what I consider to be true pixel art ( RipX's "Space frog" and my re-worked sprite for want of a better example ).
It's just it used to be two distinct forms of art ( Illustration and Pixel Art ) but it seems blurred now. Is anything non-rendered considered pixel art now ?
I'm really not trying to start a row, far from it, I'm just curious.

hm,good question,i guess forms are really becoming one,some use pixel by pixel drawing,others scan the pics in and pixelate them afterwards.anyho,i vote for squize´s warrior guy,he could fit perfectly into a classic game (did i say i´d loave a golden axe like game.. ;) )
