I'm working for an ad agency here in Oman and in my free time I shoot just about anything that I see in the country's rugged countryside.

Oman is a city with primordial mountains completely surrounding it. Imagine looking outside your window and all you see are rugged, tree-less mountains that are so rough that looking at its barren surface tends to make you wonder how the Omanis have adapted to such an environment.
Oman is also dotted by more than 500 forts and watchtowers. In fact, in most cases, the only thing that juts out of these varren mountains ar these man-made structures.
They're like a proud testament to how a people overcome a hard land and learned to live and love the land.

You have VERY interesting files there.... which version of flash did you use??? I have only the Flash 4 one. I don't have a lot of demand so I have held off getting the up grades. I have found if I don't use them I lose all I have learned..sort of...LOL
if this is directed towards me - i used mostly MX, and tried exporting as flash 5 when possible :)Quote:

it was a stock photo, i just put it on a new layer, scaled it to fit the picture, and set the blending mode to "overlay", and then just erased the excess.Quote:

Just bought this today...Love orchids..
It is very small...and lot's of them on the stalk..
I named this piec "Split Personality". I took a picture of Rodin's "The Thinker" and merged it with the body of a woman. Then other elemnets just went inside as my design progressed... whatever I felt was right, I added... hope you like this
I named this "Lights of Fire". I worked on this using Photoshop. It is a composite of about 30 different images that I manipulated to form one surrealistic composition...
This one is called "Eye of Dreams". These 3 images were interelated when I created them. The stuffs that I see in my dreams greatly influenced these. I hope that you like them.
Do my wallpapers suck?
Sorry I uploaded them to the forum, but my host is down.

a little photo stitching of some photos i took earlier today, its reaaally distorted though :)
if the image is too wide i can change it to a link (or if a mod would be nice enough to do so if necessary)
i've got a few others from the same place, including a few of a waterfall.
i like panoramic pics but the middle one is more saturated than the others i think :cow:
the tones & colors are richer so you can tell where it ends/begins but its still cool :)
a
i see what you mean, it was my first time trying to put the photos together :)
http://www.openedsource.net/ian/pan_large.jpg
is a larger version with a little bit better blending and an extra photo on the left (it is quite large though)
and another from today

In Pa today, there is a lot of rain because of the hurricane coming up the coast, so in about 2 hours I am going to have a lot more pictures. By the way,I use an Olympus 180x zoom. It allows me to get really close to things and blur out the main things that I am not focusing on. I am going to put more of the graphics up when I get home.
some pics from last nights outing :D
We went to Madison Square Garden to watch a NY Rangers game against Toronto -the Rangers won and the atmospere was superb.
