Watch "Where the Buffalo Roam" that one has Bill Murry and is more about Hunter then a movie made based on the book.
Good work and interesting
Fear and Loathing is good just a little over the top if you don't like that style. Does a pretty good job bringing the book to life.
It would be ruined by hollywood cinema but if they somehow brought the stories from his Hells Angels book to the big screen that would be awesome.
I was just reading that the music festival I am going to this summer has their security guards hired out from biker "gangs"- what is this woodstock?
i think you're thinking of the Altamont music festival
Wasn't woodstock security bikers too? I know Altamont ended in a death.
watched zack and miri make a porno last night, i havnt laughed that hard in a long time.
Ordered house 2: second story from amazon earlier this week, beyond excited for it to arrive. one of my favorite movies growing up.
Zack and Mirri was actually funnier then I thought but is still only a 1 time watch movie.
They Call Me Bruce was worth watching if you're a Bruce Campbell fan.
Special was just phenomenal. I've always liked Michael Rapaport but not near as much as I do now. The movie hinges on being able to convey the hidden misery without soaking in it and he's brilliant at it.
Me and some friends did a double feature movie night Friday since none of us have gone and seen a movie in the theater is a while. We saw I Love You, Man and Observe and Report.
I Love You, Man was actually a lot funnier then I thought. I thought the cast was great and the story was decent as you can't expect much from a movie like that. It was worth seeing if you like that group.
Observe and Report on the other hand was just a beast of it's own. I don't know if I should even call it a comedy. There was some funny parts and they advertised it as a comedy about a silly mall cop but this movie had a lot of serious scenes and a lot of random ****ed up stuff thrown throughout it. I don't really recommend this as a theater go but if you really need to see it wait for rental. It is just so weird. 2 people I was with actually wanted to leave 2/3 the way in. I didn't think it was a big waste of time but it was definitely not what I thought it was going to be at all.
i have not actually gone to a movie in a loooong time. since maybe the dark knight.
Me and the lady saw Yes Man back in December but before that I forget what it even was.
You all need movie-crews. In vegas is was an event whenever something decent came out. We'd meet up a couple hours ahead of time, drink/gamble, be first in line and raise hell while waiting etc. It became very little about the movie and more about just having a good time. We managed to fill an entire row for Titanic and Transformers.
One on my way out of the office some people handed me a hand full of sneak preview passes to Borat that night. I got a few friends to drop what they were doing and by the time we got to the theater the line was out into the lobby. I walked passed the line to ask the guy in charge of the velvet rope if my print outs were legit. His eye's lit up and people came out of the woodwork to escort us to our row which was roped off just for our company. We got the VIP treatment and I looked like one connected mofo.
maybe i should make posters like the 4 guys, and try and get some sweet comped ****.
So Terminator Salvation is PG-13? Come on even that ****fest that was T3 was rated R. Weak.
seriously. terminator has the reputation of being the most violent and bloody movies since #1.How could they do this to a successful franchise?
just because its pg-13 doesnt mean it wont be great. the dark knight was pg-13 and that was violent as ****.
I am sure it will be a good movie but we will all have to wait till the "unrated" or "directors cut" dvd to come out before we see the real movie. That is why it's weak.
Watched The Sailor Who Fell from Grace with the Sea last night with my lady friend and moms. Oh boy wasn't that just a treat of a movie. A women masturbating while crying, multiple sex scenes, and just a lot of other weird awkward scenes. I mean I don't really care but it was made in 1976 so the scenes are very slooooow and drawn out. So the awkwardness was just priceless.
i picked up a copy of the last dragon for $6 the other day. Classssssic kung fu.
I actually saw that for like $5 the other day. I think I need to go back and get it.
LEEEEEROY!

Michael Douglas Confirmed that a sequel to Wall Street is in the works. The name will probably be Money never sleeps.
Thats all I know so far. Anyone else know anything more on this?
Oliver Stone is also coming back to direct.
Watching Network for the first time. wow. what an amazing movie...especially in today's world. unreal.
Next to Jesus Camp, it's close to the scariest 'true to life' movie i've ever seen.
Network is required viewing for everyone.
for a second there i thought you were talking about "the net" and i was kinda stunned.
fingers crossed the drive in is playing terminator and another good movie next weekend.
Transformers 2 opening next week.
Gagagagagagagagagagagagaaga <-- me trembling in anticipation.
im so pissed, the drive in is playing transformers 2 and Dance movie.
Seriously i would rather watch hannah montanna then another "movie" movie.
You don't have the option to switch screens or is there only 1?
there is only one.
That is why I hate drive ins. They pick all the good blockbusters and pair them with crap. The one in NH had 3 screens so for the second movie if you really wanted to you could just tune into another screens station.
this drive in is pretty decent, they normally pair a good blockbuster with a movie from ealier in the year, things that would go well together.
but these two movies are like peanut butter and ass.
not a good mix.
watched JCVD yesterday. Really, really, really, really good movie. Who knew Van Damme could act. It was cool, funny, sad. His monologue is great.
Really, it's a must see.
MARTYRS is a ****ED up movie. It is another classic coming from the French directors camp. They are really starting to up the game over there in terms of horror/suspense. Soon enough we will start to see American remakes of that now that we've whored the Asian ghost horror to death.
so i watched cloverfield again tonight. love this movie, visually stunning.
s. Darko was surprising not crap. You just have to remember the pace of Donnie Darko.
Oh and, Gran Torino, manliest flick since 300.
I've been meaning to watch S.Darko but heard it was just awful. Maybe I'll give it a try.
Ok so me and the lady decided to sit down and watch S.Darko upon your suggestion that it wasn't crap. I'm not sure if we saw the same movie or whatever you're smoking you need to share. That movie was horrendous and shames the original. The acting was awful. I mean the girl who played Sam must have never acted before because her performance was super weak and her little friend was just as bad. The supporting roles like the cool cigarettes rolled in the sleeve guy were almost hard to watch. The plot was just a mess, period. Then comes the script and dialog. I was speechless on how bad it was. The scene where they are in the guys brothers room and she just stands up and takes that beer, asked where the bathroom was, and said she was freaked out just came out of nowhere and that was just the tip of the iceberg of random useless dialog that was thrown into almost every scene. The only things that sorta made up for watching that was the cinematography. They had some pretty slick shots once in a while but the beginning was shot and edited together WAY to indie wannabe for me. They were just trying way too hard.
Also having that crazy kid try to look like Donnie was dumb.
I literally fell asleep before it was over so I have to go rewatch the last 20-30 minutes. I really hope some miracle of film happens then and salvages this pile.
