A destination that is ... we go on these 'mini-vacations' every year (generally, about a week) ... we've been staying at resorts - everything for everyone and it's all convenient ... we take the in-laws with us ... This year - we're lookin' maybe 5 days ... San Antonio be okay - some nice places down there ... but - Where else? I need some ideas!
I been lookin' here ... anyone been there?
More ideas?

I dunno... I'm really at a loss myself Lannie when it comes to "mini-vacations" - are you saying that Texas is not enough for you? ;)
so, you're taking the in-laws, and... one extra room for me, right?
Grand Canyon, Bryce Canyon Utah, Valley of the Monuments... um, you're not near anything else I know...
take your in-laws to Mexico, lose them in the jungle down near Belize then find a tequila bar and stay there all week (sounds pretty good to me anyway :D )

Me? Say that? Never!!! <shame> for even suggesting that! ;) Texas is always more than enough - but since we do take the in-laws with us, I try to vary our outings a little ...

The Hyatt at Scottsdale looked really pretty - I mean just beautiful and that's the sort of thing I'm lookin' for ... I want to get mom in law some place nice and relaxing again this year ... Last year, we stayed at Hyatt Hill Country in San Antonio - was really nice - sittin' on the veranda readin' and sippin' iced tea ... There was something for everyone there ... Prior, we'd gone down to LaCantera which was okay, but the staff ... *ugh* yuck! Their staff sucked pondwater - don't want to repeat that type of experience again ...
So ... do we go back to Hyatt Hill Country or can someone scare up an equally enjoyable place?

When it comes down to Arizona, all I can barely remember - my memory is rather hazy - of Arizona was UA and parts of Tuscon. Scottsdale is still nice though.
arizona?? whyyyyy. you must not be from the westcoast casue youd know arizona sucks. nothing compares to so cal. san fran. or vegas over here, unl;ess you go to alcapulco or cancun in mex.

Actually, Colorado is a nice place, as is Canada..Montreal or Toronto are great places for vacations, I'm going back to Montreal this summer for a hockey league, but I'd go anyway as its a beautiful place to be.

We went there a few years ago, Hollywood ... a beautiful place, indeed ... we ended up driving all over half the danged state and hiking over the other half ...

Well, I've been all along the East coast for a travelling hockey team, and its all nice:) From Buffalo to Miami, loved every minute of it! Name somewhere along the East (if you're interested) and I can tell you about it.
