Mike Chambers is a Macromedia employee, prolific author, backend scripting Coldfusion guy, and most important, a community leader/liason.
But also, and most important, he is currently in need of a posse. At the most recent Flashforward here in NY, there were a number of Black and White stickers floating around declaring that Flash Enabled has a posse, of which Mike Chambers is apparently one. But after seeing his striking image on the stickers, and knowing how he contributes to the Flash communities, I decided he deserves a posse of his own, made up of members of the communities he serves.
So, to commemorate the event, I've decided to kick off a contest. I'm not sure what the prize will be yet (maybe a book, like Flash Enabled, possibly an autographed picture of the big MC himself!). The rules are simple. To enter, you have to put the Mike Chambers posse sticker in your footer and some sort of message indicating that you are a member (worded any way you would like). Next, create a piece of Mike Chambers-inspired artwork. The best piece of work (as voted on by the community) will get rewarded in some way, more details to come.
Art can be any medium - Flash animation, vector drawing, cartoon, painting, collage, etc.
Here's some stuff to work with.
