i haven't shown anything here since ages... and it's time to end this, i think :)
first of all, i went retro on this one: a max color palette of 52 colors, and no more than 4 colors per sprites (5 when you count the alpha channel). 16x16 tiles. few animations and effects. yes, you guessed it: it's the return of the 8-bits era! and i love that :D

yes, i took "kid icarus" (NES system) as reference. but i added new things as well. here are some words about the games, as well as the controls:
controls are basic:
arrow keys to move the hero
space to jump
control to attack
enter to pause the game (very usefull, indeed)
> you have some special abilities, like crouching, crouching and walking, looking up and attacking up. the jumps are variable, if you push a long time, your hero will jump higher.
> you can also collect some keys and open the chests (you can open both in that demo, the second key is, well... hidden).
> you can enter some rooms as well. generally they are empty in the demo, but i'll add shops or challenges in them.
> it's not in the demo either, but the game might switch in real time between an interactive scrolling and a forced scrolling: that means you'll have to hurry, because if you fall out of the screen, then it's game over, yes. back to the old skool difficulty too i guess :)
> the next levels will also include icy platforms; the slide code is already here, but i'll "push" it a lot for that event :)
> 3 different kinds of enemies will chase you in that demo. none of them is smart, but well, they can still defeat you.
> important take care with your sword, it has it's own life bar. in the scenario, it will be a mysterious sword that come from the ocean (or something similar). that sword needs water to "work", else it will disappear, and you'll be forced to finish the stage without being able to attck! just find the water spots all throughout the world and regenerate it! all the life bars and infos are located at the top of the screen, and they should be self explanatory.
ok, i think that's all about the infos. the demo is here as beta purpose, so let me know if you find something weird. there'll be probably a glitch with the snake, they might teleport if they are stuck in a platform when they appear, but generally it's outside the game window. anyway, i'll fix that in a near future.
