First I said 'lol' to someone in general conversation...
Tried to Ctrl+Z in art class when i made a mistake.
Now to top it all off I was looking for a bit of paper while sitting at my desk, but when I couldn't find one I right-clicked on the desktop, and then made a new word doc. Only hit me a few seconds later what I did.

-Told my mom to "save" the evening movie for me
-Use LOL extensively, in real life talk, but you have to agree I rarely use it outside nerd communities.
-Kept clicking the Mobile phone coz it was next to the TV
-On several occasions I kept trying to right click a White Board while instructing courses

I've accidentally tried to use my mobile phone as a mouse on a number of occasions but I'm not sure that's nerdish behaviour though :p

Something akin to the term 'Geek', the exact distinction has been lost (at least by me, and this is my list!). Ages and ages ago, a group of friends, some of Electrical Engineering majors and others Computer Science majors had decided that EEs were one, and CS were the other. I don't recall which was which. I have also seen it said a nerd is someone who is immersed in technology, a geek is a nerd that enjoys it. Whatever. -O- Open Archetecture: Something good, but rarely defined past that. Our system is Open Archetecture, the competition's system is not. Few people will argue with that definition. I've seen almost every computer, including the IBM AS/400 at one time or another called "Open Archetecture" It is supposed to mean something about being able to put other manufacturers hardware and software on a system, but truely closed systems no longer exist, so now it is mostly a way of self-praise and competitor bashing.

Mmmm here's one although it's somewhat abstract. In quake 3, there is a way to move around called "strafe jumping". It is the quickest way to get around the maps and everyone does it.
Well, one time I was drunk and spent the whole night strafe jumping and laughing and trying to be funny saying hey check this out I'm strafe jumping.
Of course no-one knew what the hell I was talking about.
Hmmm... Me and my friend constantly yell out the punch lines of funny movies....
(IE... Talking dogs... 'i want my mama' , Afghanistan news... 'how come i have subtitiles?')
you know evertime we hear a song or see something we automatically link it to 'the net'...

I've been called a geek for saying things like: "Hey, move... i need to access the oven"
Whilst VERY drunk, i'm often found trying to get my KeyCard for the correct level as i believe i'm solid snake. I also ask people around me what keycard they have...

CTRL-Z used to happen alot, but now i'm usually on a pc so it works ;)

I once thought, if I concentrated really hard, I could bring up a search / find box for my desk and for the conference room white board.
Try putting a dot from a black marker on the right side of the top your left hand (left handed people do it the other way around). Now if you are writing something in class or at work you rest your left hand on the paper, and throughout the day you will try to hit the 'fly' that you think you see in the corner of your eye :DQuote:

During exams after writing a lot of text I suddenly panic as I realise I haven't saved yet! And I have also tried to Undo things that I write or draw. I have also tried to pick up stuff that is left on my desk with the mouse pointer. But the best thing I have done is when I painted the window railing, and after painting a long line I realised I should have stopped earlier so that I wouldn't undo it all if I made a mistake :D
Oh, and Geeks like Star Wars, Nerds like Star Trek, easy :cool:

suppose the geekiest thing i've done is stretch my hand and attempt to use the force to bring an out of reach phone/beer/remote closer when a little bit drunk.
I used to do the Ctrl+Z/Cmd+Z thing a lot until I starting doing everything on a computer. Now I do it and it works :D
