The Blizzard of '05: Pictures.

I couldn't resist taking photos, this is the biggest snowstorm of my lifetime, and apparently the 2nd biggest in Massachusetts history, behind the Blizzard of '78. Although those are the official measurements for Boston, out here in the 'burbs we got more. Approx. 34 inches.

Bah, who shovels these days, honestly?

I just got done clearing my neighbors driveway. We use 2 snowblowers (one heavy-duty John Deere, a smaller snowthrower), and then use shovels for the walk. Took about 40 minutes, she paid $100.

At the moment, it's 11 degrees Fahrenheit, but the wind chill is -18. It was a lot worse last night. Snow was coming down at 3 inches/hour, blizzard conditions for 7 hours, winds over 65 MPH. It was like a tropical storm, with snow.

sounds like fun! Your heating boiler is doing ok? Mine died a few times recently with a 20MPH wind and a chilling temperature of -2degrees.

It was blowing pretty hard for about 12 hours in NJ, maybe more. But we didn't get that much. I'd say maybe a foot and a half.

Then again it's not nearly as cold. 23 F and sunny now.

We got somewhere around 7-8 inches of snow over the weekend. I was at the Dane County Humane Society for my usual volunteer shift yesterday and I noticed that it's kinda hard to walk in some places along the main dog trail because it's deep in those areas.

Man, I'm jealous. :(

im pretty sure we got way worse here in 94 or around there,

literaly 3 feet of snow in a day, i jumped off my roof laid out and landed safly in the snow, from 2 stories up... it was awesome,

blizard of 96 around here was CRAZY, no school for a week and a half
