Who framed Roger Rabbit ?

Well, Roger Federer's run as the top player seems to be coming to an end.
He was beaten in straight sets by Novak Djokovic of Serbia in the semi-finals and went on to win the Australian Open title.

Interestingly, Roger Federer's main rival Rafael Nadal too lost in the semi-finals. Federer and Nadal had won the last 11 majors between them, and 13 of the previous 14 - Marat Safin being the other man to taste success, in Melbourne in 2005.

This sure looks good for Men's tennis. Now there will be good competition for Roger with Djokovic and Nadal challenging him at all times.

i made a twitter about it.

griffin vs rampage was such a close good fight! i would have been happy if either guy won after the fight. It did bring up alot of questions on how the fights are judged.

I agree.. I actually found myself saying/thinking/wanting Rampage to win again..

looked like h was hitting him harder..and doing more damage..

after the leg kicks werent a problem anymore.. Forrest was keeping pace..trying submissions... agreed was a good fight!


Did you see Melvin Gullard? (man I love watching him) another quick win..

after the second round i was waiting for rampage to go all out and try and finish it. im shocked his corner told him that he was in controll of the fight before round 5. he def looked like he left off the gas for the 5th round and was coasting a bit, while griffin worked hard.

gullard is fun to watch but leaves himself open for submitions.

I think griffin worked hard through every round too..win or loose.. just looked like Rampage was doing some damage in his hits.. but I totally agree about 5th round..

re: gullard, he said hes been working on his ground game 100% now.. plus he's so young and fast, man is he fast.

and thats where the judging issues come into play.

whats worth more, the person that does more visable damage(we dont know yet how fk'd up jacksons leg is yet) or who scores more "traditional" points.

when rampage was about to powerbomb forrest at the end of the 4th i believe i nearly lost my ****.

his leg/knee sure is messed up... thats for sure.. he was even limping on it out of the ring..

he sucked up fairly good though the rest of the fight... but it was no secret.

unfortunately.. MMA is judged same as boxing no? anyways.. better than I thought honestly..

for the most part yes. but only they know for sure how they are judging it as there isnt really a baseline for how to judge a submission attempts(forrest had a few, the triangle, a couple of americana/kimora's, and a really sloppy armbar), or take downs, or countering a submission(triangle to overhead slam) it often times seems to come down to how landed more shots while they were standing and how looked busier.
