$ 500... to be or not to be?
Ok, here are the facts:
- Generator is practically assimilated into Flash MX, and many things for which we needed 3rd party applications (like Swift 3D vector graphics rendering) are pretty much covered.
- Have you guys read the reviews/previews? Have you seen the part where it talks about the scollbars, submit buttons, combo-boxes, and others? Well, just like that, there is many things for which you need smart clips NO MORE!
- Flash is bookmarkable! Get into any old Flash movie site, and advance through the site. Then , pres "Back" on your browser... Nothing happens. Well, that AIN'T NO MORE either! Flash MX comes with a layer that will usually be called "anchors" where you (yes, YOU, the designer!) can set up the places where your browser will remember where to go back, forward, and so on...
Frankly I think this pays the price.
And please don't get me wrong: I do understand how hard it is to shell out $ 500.00 for something that wasn't neither in your plans by January nor in your budget of March.
But still: it's well worth the bucks... IMHO

$500! A Total f'in ripoff
Geez what money grubbers they are. That's more than Windows 2000 pro/ winxp etc.. what a RIPOFF. I'll get by with flash 5 for now, thanks very much.
I'd pay up to $300, no more.. that's a ton of money for a software program.

If you had a legitimate copy of Flash 5, then you would only have to pay the upgrade price, which should be under $200 bucks. It seems like most of the whining about price is being done by people who don't plan on paying anything for it anyway.
