:D :D :D
now you have no excuse not to finish you super crossover fight ;)
:D great! i read your thread about losing all you stuff, that mustve been a hard one to take...i mean ive lost stuff before through crashes or my own stupidity, and that feels bad enough...
anyway, gd for you.
:D
hehehe... maybe later, k?
(do you want to create a fighter? it's not too good to have ripped gfx all the time)
lol...
so when will the: i finisched all.. threath come?
;)
Good job btw
"i finished all?" :)
that fighting game is a so long project, but it will be good if it's original (no more ripped sprites). maybe some very good and patient artists around here want to create a fighter? because i'll never have the time to create original characters, my god!
but well, i'll continue it's devlopment later (for sure)... but mmmhhh, this is not a super crossover fighter thread :D
btw, jtnw, i like your avatar :-)
"do you hear me, donny?"
If you ever get super crossover fight done with original graphics, you could sell it for quite a bit of money. But i'd be ALOT of work!

I love that movie, but I didn't understand it completely. People told me I was suppose to read a bunch of time travel books and watch a couple of movies that were refered to in it, but it's too much work for me. :(
ps I've looked everywhere for that costume, I cant find it anywhere
The film is about divine intervention, the Rabbit is God...
Good news marmotte, and sorry for drifting away on your thread :)
Squize.
that's ok squize, that thread has no flash game subject after all :-)
plus donny darko is a really good subject... it's great! of course we may also talk several hours of david lynch films too...
or, talking to games, elaborate what is happening in silent hill :-) i love that kind of stories, where you have to actually THINK. it's so different that all these "i explode all and put a car pursuite and girls everywhere to have an audience" hollywood-type movies.
while we're not talking arrays, or as2.0 classes, I thought I'd announce my avatar switch from over a 6 month period of gonkel(the blind man)!
Squize, I understood that main part, but then there is a whole other meaning/perspective on the movie that I didn't get.
Psycological games and movies always become a personal favorite of mine. If your into stuff like Donie Darko, play Eternal Darkness for GCN. People stereotype it as a Resident Evil clone, but it is infact very original.
eternal darkness :-)
well, there were some good things with it; that microsoft blue screen of death was... self explanatory :D
jntw, maybe you will like the mix between psycological subjects and anime? > evangelion. absolutely fantastic.
...or play xenogears, it's quite a perfect RPG also... for me.
now fospher has charles bronson as avatar... why not?... ^_^
ya that blue screen confused me the first time I saw it :p. They did a great job of making the sanity effects scare you, I freaked out when I thought my memory card got deleted.
I've heard about evangelion, my sister is a big anime fan. I'll look through some of her tapes to see if i can find it. What platform is xenogears out for?
fospher - What exactly is [mC]?
a new site/project im working on :)Quote:

well, about evangelion, you have to watch the entire serie... because it starts like an usual anime, but the more you watch it, the more it's strange, strange, strange... there are incredible psychological/religious/cabalistics/critisism of nowadays socitey's integration etc... parts with it... but again, you have to watch all the serie, if you watch only the beggining, you'll be in front of a good "almost normal" anime...
oooh, and furi kuri (FLCL) is fantastic also :-)
xenogears is for the PSone, and that's my favorite RPG of all times, except those more than crappy english voices...
great news :D .. I'm really happy for you marmotte :)
A quick look through some tapes, and I found episodes 3, 7, 8. I also found ones labled genesis 0:1 and 0:6, are those episodes 1 and 6?
I'll keep looking for them later today.
Btw, how many episodes are there?
fospher - Oh, I see... :)
Congrats marmotte!
thanks vont and strille :D yeah, that's great
well, jtnw, there are 26 episodes... plus 2 movies (a lot of fans were not satisfied with the anime ending, so gainax created these movies in order to finish/give another end to the story. the intention is commercial, but believe me, not the story ;))
each episode is approximatively 24 minutes.
i don't know how the tapes are organized, i have the DVD pack, but genesis 0:1 is maybe the 3/4 first episodes... there are 0:8 genesis with the DVD in total for example.
i rarely do like mecha designs, but the evangelions are so well designed; i like the shape of their body... they look more like demons than saviours :-)
I just read over my posts, and realized that I haven't yet said anything about your recovery. Congrats, babe!
I'll watch some of the episodes I found, and maybe pick up the DVD.
On a diffrent note, I'm thinking of getting an iPod, it can double up as a spare HD, just hopefully it won't crash. :)
Actually, I dont think you can listen to songs while there's other stuff on the Ipod. Might be wrong...
Congrats Marmotte!
On a different yet similar note: That fighter game is amazing, I would have hated to lose it. Have a "create a character" competition!
BTW, what software did you use?
thanks, but you surely only saw the old version ^_^Quote:
That fighter game is amazing
well, why not? it would be great to have an original fighting game after all... but i'm not sure if people will be interest in creating sooo many animations... but it's very simple to include them in my engine later with custom combos and manips... that's the good point of it :-)Quote:
Have a "create a character" competition!
it's called data rescue X, but i don't know if it exists with PCs... but it was sooo efficient, i recovered 100% of my files, plus they kept their icon (you know, these wonderfull huge icons), original names, and all... fantastic!Quote:
what software did you use?
what a pleasure to lose datas after all naaaaah, just kidding, it took me one entire day to restore all, initialize the thing then put it all on it again... uhrm.
Im glad you didnt lose all your files, I know that would blow.
Marmotte if you wanna have a contest I have a character I want to enter. Its a ninja character from a game sspskater and I are making.
There's not enough moves now but there will be and It'd be cool to see our character beaing up that Terry guy.
http://www.geocities.com/moonjobber/graphicTest5.swf
you gotta copy paste the link if youd want to see some of her moves,
I dont know how to link it right...
So, you wont become gardener now, Marmotte :D
Flowers lose, Flash wins.
fersteger
oooh, very well done!!! i like the shinobi ambiance :-)
i'm not sure to have a contest, but it may definitely be interesting to have an original fighting game (of course, a ripped fighting game is also interesting btw :-)...
if i do so, there will be a list of absolutely needed moves, and of course we can add all the special moves you want. but again, i'm not sure if a lot of people will create a fighting game's character, it's so time consuming...
tonypa
yeah, babe, yeah ^_^
but mario still needs flowers to have fire power...
YIPI, I now feel your hapiness
Marmotte,
You ever try going to pixelation.swoo.net forums and seeing if anyone there is up for the challenge of making some sprites. There are a lot of really good pixel artists there, although you'll probably wanna hang around for a little while before makin requests.
Try the comp. no harm in trying ;)
killerdhawk
thanks, i didn't know that one :-) i'll take a look for sure.
either than that, the actual engine of the game is not really ready... but yes, maybe in the future it wll be cool to create something huge and original... though i'm very perectionnist, the sprite has to be very well done, hin hin hin :-)
*EDIT* wow, awesome forum :-) thanks again. i just saw iopred there.

Congrats marmotte, i remember a time a while back where lux modelled some fighters for use in your original open source engine?
>?
ha yes? what an honor :-)
but i didn't know that, or what...
