Should I get this looked at

Okay, about six or seven years ago I had thsi blister on my hand. It popped. Years went by, and I started to notice something on my hand. I thought it was a blister, but it wouldn't pop or go away. And it sweats alot, for no reason.

I showed it to my friends mom, who's a nurse, and she said it was a tumor, and I should get it looked at, but I don't think it's that bad.

So 'm asking you guys if you think it looks bad enough that I should get it looked at, or even amputated:eek:

It's probably a cyst. I'd get it removed even if it's benign. Kinda gross, no offense.

i'm not one for going to the doctor, but i would have that looked at. anything on your face or hands should be checked out immediately. you NEED your hands bro!

is it hard or soft?
is it warmer than the rest of your hand?
does it ever hurt?

don't poke it with a needle unless you are certain it's a blister. if it's something else, you don't want it to gain access to the rest of your body/bloodstream via a needle hole.

are you sure you're not using the bloat filter in photoshop there?

Flasher, lubrication would help ward off blisters.

Kinda hard, a little mushy.
its normally the same tempature.
It only hurts when you push on it.

It's not a blister. I've had it for about six years.

If a nurse told you it should be checked, get it checked. Not that I know anyones true backgrounds here but I doubt any are doctors with enough experience to do a biopsy over the internet.

my father in law is a doctor i'll print out a picture and show it to him tonight. i'll get back to you on his diagnosis. if you want to giv emore details i'll print those and pass them on to him as well.

we all know what it is, but no one is saying it. It's a little flasher that has been incubating in his hand for 6 years, in 4 more years it will be a fully grown, 4 inch high flasher that will nurst from his hand and terrorize the neighborhood.

Interesting that you say that. My boss has a second thumb growing out from one of his hands, at one point in time he had the option to remove it, but he thought that it might mess up his painting, so he left it there.

Kind of freaky the first few times you see it, but you get used to it eventually

OK, I should rephrase that, it's not growing, it's grown. I'm guessing that he was born with it. It doesn't move unless the regular thumb moves because it starts at the last joint of the thumb.
