Can't work out what makes this site an award. It's just a list of links located in a directory of http://www.3esmultimedia.com :confused:
Sorry "mr freak" for not giving you a ****star.com for webfeats, sounds like you wouldn't have wanted it anyway :p.

At any rate, to each his own. I find the layout uninteresting, that's all.
i kinda like the layout although it always changing :p but anyway i think the color choice is nice and the award graphic is cool, the thing i like most is the sound fx, very good (probably because i love doing sound fx and i'm always looking for original fx in sites :D )
anyway i think it's great to have another award out there and seems that this one is getting good support from the community so far, i wish the people behind it the best of luck.
but i do have a doubt and a suggestion if someone is interested in listening ;) .
doubt - will the layout suffer a new change when the winners archive gets to long to scroll down? looks like this should have been thought previously to the design.
suggestion - a process and criteria would help people find out why an award is or is not given to a site, so far i find this a real handycap because i don't really know if the choice is beeing made by 1 people or more, if it's their personal taste or if they are judging usability/originality/etc and what qualifies them for judges.
anyway i visit almost daily so i won't lie, i like it and congratulations to the people behind it.
I really like it, clean and well layed out... simple.. but I think that's the point, the creator obviously has design skills...

And especially didn`t like the url, think it sounds a bit childish.
agree with the url, but messy? wha? that would be about the last word you could used to describe it... in fact it is anything but ... you sure you know the definintion of the word messy?Quote:

****in hell ..the layout is changed again, got a ****in scrollbar at 1152x864 otherwise their gradient wouldnt fit, fcuck that.
Had to read their fcuckin META TAGS to understand what they are/do

1. It began as a list of my favourite URL's with the idea of adding more and more as "I" came across them, just like a favourite list link most designers have on the personal sites. There was no intention in the beginning to start a new award site, but as interest grew (over 160,000 hits in less than 2 months), I created an email link for people to submit there favourite sites. I submitter asked for something they could add to there site for being listed, so I just cut the star out the site and gave it to them, thats how it began?
2. Just me Christian Dandeker, 21 year old male born in Perth Western Australian now living in Birmingham UK, designer/developer for 5 years.
3. ****star........... basically, but flash communication united kingdom star was suggested by a work colleague :doughnut: . Pornstar was taken, yeah!
4. Um I generally choose them from all the submissions from the previous day, although If there are to many sweet ones I'll try to spread them out a bit, so I don't overload featured site section.
Even if you have submitted your site and not been chosen, do so again it may have just been on a day that ie "sixtailer" & "eyewake" were submitted.
5. Sorry you dudes that love consistant sites, but its new its going to change until im completely happy with it, its my site ;).
Once again I apologize for the delay of explanations, I hope you continue visiting the site and submit your own creations.

yes the bg is familiar cant quite remember the nameof the site, its the one that resizes windows all over the place :D does that narrow it down?

it's a bastardisation of the word that's been around for a while, the most famous use of it is with the english fashion retail company "french connection UK" hence, ****. There's been advertising around for years using phrases like "**** Fashion" though they recently expanded into north america and had to censor some of the ads, but they've been around for years.Quote:

French Connection United Kingdom (****.com) submitted there site recently, but its not quite up to standard, but I gave them a link in the fs extra section oin ****star.com

It's really not clear what the site does though. Is there an award or something? What's it look like? Rules/criteria, that kind of thing? The purpose of the site is very unclear.
