btw player1 controlls with wasd and aims with q and e
player 2 moves with arrow keys and aims with End and Page Down

the turtles are still too big. have you played pocket tanks? its the same kind of game, but the tanks are much smaller. its also way too easy to hit the other turtle.i like the jumping thing though i would be amazed at a jumping turtle :p
ok the turtle are 2 big, did u like the terrain engine?
Also i already have the shield working, but a can't get a toggle button working! the shield has a time limit.
also is there an actionscript funtion to flip the movieclip hoazontaly? I want it so the turtles turn around when you press the other way. It looks kinda funny when they are walking backwards:D
i think you should have random terrain. there are some fiels here on that, but if you need help i have a file with it.
My terrain you can put anything in the MC because it uses shapeflag! YAY also did u notice that if the bullet hist the map it delets it?
i think that you should get a new terrain all the time, generated at runtime.
yea, but i dont know how. I tried doing a random height for different bars, but it didnt look like land, it looked like an equalizer.:D Anyhow how would u make random sloping land?
this one makes random terrain and it also rotates things so the dont stick out of it. you have to do some work to get it to do what ou want though :p
Yea sorry, but it doesnt do anything. I can see the code, but when i hit control enter it jsut show the backround.
theres a stop in the first frame. rightclick the scren and choose forward. its for a game that had to be like that.
Great game, but i think the controls should be a bit different, i think that if the movement was similar to how the game Liero works (have you ever played Liero? its kinda like worms but better, here is one site but you could also search google). So i think player 2 should use Left/Right to move, Up/Down to aim the direction your facing, shift to jump, and ctrl to shoot. That would be much easier than reaching your hand over to the End/PageDown keys and still be able to hit the shoot button.

I agree with MD004 as far as controlls go.
My suggestions:
1)make them smaller and faster
2)make them tilt according to terrain(so they stay level)
3)Destructable terrain!
of course all of these are just suggestions and seing as how I am a 'flash newby' I do not know how difficult this would be.
um well the would level cannon with terrain and rotating to the terrain i have gotten to work, but what happens it just the cannon moves but the acctual angle the the bullet shoosts stays the same! I wil probably get it to work in the final version, but i just moved on and worked on the man game instead. Also i am not sure hot 2 make destructable terrrain. Thanks for your comments!
just a thought but i'm on a mac and have no end key on my keyboard. so i can't aim the cannon. maybe change that to another key to allow mac users to play.

but yeah different controlls would be cool. maby you can find out how to let the player set their own?
that would be cool, although i am not sure how to do that. Also ity is very hard to come up with controls. I aleady have down for ducking into shell. I thought it would be good to have player one on the Num Pad, althogh that limits people with laptops. Do you understand the process of key mapping?
iopred might know how, he has custom keys in heli attack 2. He might at least be able to tell you where to look for a tut.
