Godzilla was a whimp. Rodan was the baddest of them all. ;)

Yeah Rodan was kick ass...:cool:Quote:
I'd love to see remakes of these old movies using the new software that is available now. The stories themselves were prime, but the imaging of the day just couldn't do them justice. Imagine using the software that made Van Helsing used to make a new Rodan movie. :D

Yeah, they were all horrible, but the new movie making techniques could give those old movies new life. ;)
Yeah i agree... the possibilties are endless with the graphix we have now. Case in point that one amazing cgi part in Animatrix.Quote:

Think it's already happening with LOTR's Peter Jackson doing a remake of King Kong.
If thats a success, every goddam old "man in a monster suit" movie will be redone ;)
Pah, don't get me started on LOTR!
They remake alot of movies, like Rocky,The kid,and there working on one now or something its called the flight of the phenix, o yea i forgot about hulk.
My finger is getting really hott i think thats cause i got styrophome and gasoline and mixed em together and touched it. That must of been a nono
Think of the audience though. All the kids that saw Godzilla and Rodan when they were first released are now going into their second childhood. Seems like a guaranteed box office record maker to me. :DQuote:

Still haven't seen that... any good? I think I fell asleep when trying to watch it once.Quote:

I don't think any movie is going to be of much interest unless you already have an interest in the subject. It helps to read the books first, for me anyway.
While I'm not much into dracula or frankenstein, the Van Helsing movie was great because of the special effects. Worth watching for that alone, IMO.
The LOTR trilogy was long and tedious, almost 3 hours per movie, but I had read the books, and it was very well done. You don't want to try and watch them all at once, unless your already in a blue funk with nothing else to do. Like in the hospital or something. ;)
Ok, i thought chris-harry... maybe more like FlashKid, chris-harry hybrid along with someone 'clever' enough to touch random substances.Quote:

MarkP - LOTR is boring. Frodo is a wuss that really needs his ass kicked. As for the special effects, anyone with a budget like that could do it. Nothing special and wasted on such... yawn.... boring books!
i think van hellsing sucked but Lotr was awesome
I can't believe that there's a conversation about how good or bad Godzilla movies were - just the Toho Japanese ones... the American one is easily forgotten.
It's supposed to be campy. I mean... c'mon. You can actually see the zipper in some movies.
But it's a good kind of bad. The kind that after a few beers and at 3am in the morning, it's as amusing as it needs to be.
I love Godzilla.
:gojira:
LOL. That reminds me of this old western. Pretty good movie, right up to the last scene. Two guys on the side of a hill, doing the old fast draw on each other. And right over the shoulder of the good guy was a jet contrail up there in the sky. Sheeese, what a let down.Quote:

Ha HA thats pretty funny
Well they acually filmed all three of the movies at the same time so they were taking a HUG risk on spending all that moneyQuote:

I thought LOTR's first two installments were gr8 but the 3rd one was a bummer. Nobody realised that souron was never shown! That put me off. I am eagarly awaiting for 'the revenge of the sith' now.
Van Helsing was crap. Putting all past horror stories into one? sheeeesh...I thought stephen sommers' past movies mummy and mummy returns were oputdated and down right boring.
He didn't have a body, all that he had was that big, flaming eye which was shown quite a bitQuote:

true but that hardly defines evil. Anyways, LOTR didn't satisfy me as much.
I had an ex girlfriend that also did that. :DQuote:
