If anyone has some spare time on there hands....

Yeah Iam kind of a poor teenager...So iam left with few car choices only got 10k from parents and need a car with like under 25k miles at 10k $.

So just wondering if anyone has any suggestions, right now iam pretty much stuck with getting a 2005 kia rio for roughly 10k, hey I live in a small town of VA so not many choices in used, but if anyone has any suggestions on 10k $ < cars post here.........

also ive been trying to make a user name on www.streetkiaz.com but cant... So if anyone has ALOT of spare time on there hands..... can ya make me an account? I keep getting an error when trying to sign up for it. (need to find out how much the 80 amp alternator can handle.

yeah seriously, my first car was some crappy 94 saturn and i paid all my own $1300 for it, and $2400 for my dying '93 camry i have now.

so go cry somewhere else...10k POOOR ME.

pahahaha, didn't know you are a metal man.

anywayz, you guys are so lucky. in my current place, the cheapest decent 2nd hand car still cost around 15k USD min, and not to mention the HUGE tax and insurance PLUS we are not allowed to own the car forever.

each license only good for 10 years, so if that 2nd hand car has been used for 5 years we get to keep it only for another 5 years...

I'd just get some piece of junk for $1000 or less, keep the $9000, and tell the parents the car cost $10,000 because of it's historical signifigance.

I'm in Singapore, but not Singapore citizen.

urmmm, maybe i didn't describe the law well enough, heh heh.

we did have to pay license ONLY for around 15k USD for 10 years.
once the license is up, you can apply for another one, good for another 10 years. (another HUGE amount of money).
after that more or less the car is dead, scrap metal.

add to that the initial cost of a car in Singapore.

i wish my parents would give me 10gs, my first car was a maroon colored sable that overheated....then i got a job....and now i have another peice...a 2003 chevy cavalier...but i paid for it my self.

I was lucky and got my first car from my mom when she was done with it. Still had to keep it in shape and pay for all that jazz. It had 75000mi on it but still ran well. Now I don't have a car or want a car.

If you have 10K, spend 7 on the car and 3 on your first year's insurance. Put the insurance in your name and DON'T SCREW UP. Next time around, your insurance rates will drop dramatically if you have no tickets or claims.

Buy American. Cheap and cheap to maintain.

my first car was a used geo metro.. that thing had 3 freakin cyllinders but it got 52 miles to the gallon so that was one good thing.. I remember I used the money i saved on gass to buy two of those small rockets and I mounted a couple tubes under the geo and wired ignition caps in the rockets so that I could launch them from inside with a push button. I tested it and It was freakin hilarious the rocket shot out and skid down the road like a hundred yards.. but it didn't explode obviously since it was just a rocket. but it was damn funny.. couple days later i got t-boned by a drunk driver. 4 crappy cars later I'm driving a 95 mistique which i got for only 2900.. pretty good for the condition it was in plus its a v6.. lol twice my geo.. anyways ditto ditto ditto.. only 10k? you don't need a $10k first car dood. A car is a car.. get a used american car because ditto ditto.. or a bike if you work close and invest the rest in lcd screens then in 5 years you'll triple your money. ditto ditto ditto.. poor teenager doesn't fit you.. maybe jobless.. I can think of a real poor teenager.
