For some reason, I love the text.
This volley will be hard to work off of for us unispired people, but that's the challenge I suppose. I'll give it a shot.

I wanted to redo the pallete, but I liked the colors alot. Anyone want to give me some advice on how the text could have been done better and stayed balanced? I threw it around literally everywhere....
Hybrid: Don’t worry, You have some really good ideas for battles, a lot of which not only challenge creative thinking, but the elements and boundaries of design, this one is sure to draw a lot of attention.

Really nice image JWin, I personally think it all fits together well. The only thing I'm unsure of is the 121 with the ace. I'm not really sure that fits well into the image.
I do find it amusing that everyone has chosen to keep the man and his child. So far this battle has been centered around that. I personally like it, it's like many interpretations of the same image (similar to a Fill This).
DaVulf. I aggree with the numbers not quite fitting. But it's not an ace it is a clock face (correct me if i'm wrong). There are some other numbers getting lost in the clouds if you look close.
So fare this has been a tight battle. I'll be watching and when I get a second ill take part...
Yeh, its a clock, it's a wwII era plane. The point was the clock was supposed to dissappear into the clouds but I ended up putting an hour just into the propellors so I got bored :p

It's 1 and 2 (and 3 sorta). I cut the house and trees out, made em black and put em on top. and the main background is 2 images, the original and one set to hard light on top in PS.

Thanks! I'm liking this one too. Although, now that I look at it there are a couple changes I might make. The planes and text are too dark. The color should match the scattered black lines. Second I might add a bit of grunge to the text. What do you think, would these be improvements or should I just leave things alone before I screw it up.

Shots, the grunge brushes you used there could be toned down a bit, they fit the image, but they're not 'apart' of it as well as they could be...try turning down the opacity a bit on them so they'll sink into the yellow BG.
I guess grunging up the text would be cool, but do't go overboard with it. And maybe if you're lookign to add somethign to the text, instead of using that full black, try using a nicely dark gray.
Those are just a couple things i could see done, awesome again mang!
the grunging may be a little too pronounced, but I like how hard the black text is against the yellow back

I aggree with the grunge brushes being to strong. I think it would have been cool to give the whole image the same type of texture as the man.
I like your image silver. Only thing bothering me is the building on the lefts saturation and the lightign is very different between the two buildings. I love how you put the clound in the foreground, nice touch. Pretty cool concept...

i have to agree with pea though. I'd have left out the smaller building and moved the tree there instead, maybe made the clouds a little "cloudier" (you know what I mean).
But I love the colours and consept. Very very nice.
the tree and the big building were all one stock, the smaller building was a seperate stock, i actually didnt notice the red tint it ended up with till i posted it on flashkit.
No worries, you could have cut and pated the tree and used the second level of the building as a base to the first.
Very quick to do.
But it might have looked crap.
So just ignore me.

I'm really feeling that Hybrid. For some reason the text works for me, I don't really think you have an issue with it.

I like that one a lot Hybrid. Another one today with a monochromatic look. Very nice.
The text doesn't bother me, but it is a little different than the rest of the image in that it seems a bit blurry, where the rest is crisp.
Again, very nice image.
