I am sure it has to do with the squinting and watering of the eyes.
Just a guess but I would go for it though without using any of my lifelines.
HAH I knew I had it in a book here somewhere!

WHY DO WE SNEEZE IF WE LOOK AT THE SUN?
Any Irritation in the nasal passages usually brings on a sneeze. The irritant may be durst or pepper or a kind or pollen to which a person may be allergic. Occasionally, the nose becomes blocked by mucus, and the body reacts involuntarily to clear it.
A Sneeze forces air from the nose and mouth, and with luck gets rid of whatever is causing the annoyance.
If we look up at the sun, the increased intensity of the light reaching our eyes causes a high-frequency electrical signal to run through the optical nerves. The nasal nerves, which are close by, pick up some of this electrical impulse. They send a signal to the brain which triggers the same response as would an irritation in the nasal cavity. The result : A sneeze.

In 1888 the famous patent grabber Thomas Edison was quickly flipping through sequential pictures of someone sneezing when he realized that he could make a picture appear to move by showing a bunch of still shots in quick succession. So he assigned W.K.L. Dickson, one of his many assistants, to the task of inventing the necessary devices to record moving images (the "Kinetograph") and to play them back (the "Kinetoscope"). Edison and Dickson's discoveries launched a technological chain of invention that led to the cinema and all that supplanted it.
So eer.. when does this assignment have to be in?
And do we get gold stars too?
:P
(kidding)
solved: sunglasses!
Either that or dont look directly into the sun, sneezes apart it screws up your eyes.
:D
I have a friend that has this problem, i thought he was crazy when he told me that the sun makes him sneeze.
It happens to me, and soda make me hiccup
Doesn't happen to me.
I do sneeze from lots of cool wind though.
I sneeze around people with too much perfume on.
It happens not when I see it directly, but when the sun is in a certain part of my peripheral vision.
I sneeze when I look at the sun with or without sunglasses cause I'm alergic to it. I break out in tiny bumps that look like goose bumps on my arms and they itch like crazy and on my face I get red bloches the size of dimes. I have to wear at least an SPF 30.
Nope, doesn't effect me... *mocks* Sneezing at the sun... pah! FREAKS! ;)
I love sneezing, its so refreshing...*glares at sun*
:scared:
