Yeah i have one but have yet to have any problems. It gets super hot to the touch though but that's expected.
My 20" has no backlight leakage that I can see at all...and it also is never hot to the touch.
how old is it? i just got mine today and the problem is really bad, trying to get some photos up.Quote:

Maybe you should take it to the Apple store and get it fixed/replaced.
I've had mine for about two months, i run it all day long, and it never gets very warm and i have zero backlight leakage. In fact, we have two in the studio and they are both fine.
I would bring it back and get a new one.
d.
Yeah, neither of those things sound normal. I have had zero problems with my cinema display - I just love it.
dude. you have the absolute worst luck...
Probably about 5 months old i'd say. You got yours defective right out of the box??? Wow...ship it back dude.Quote:

Seems to do it in three places on the bottom.
greys also look slightly red, but i think i got it calibrated so it doesn't look like that anymore. (from what i saw in the store, all the 23's had a little bit of a color prob? i don't know how old they were, prolly first off the line)
Its a brand new display too.
I got a bunch of overdue work that i got todo before i can screw with apple again, maybe i have time to call and complain so they can log me. *i've been using a 19" 1280x1024 screen on my mac, and web surfing is really the only thing you can do at that size.
you have 23"s ? I need references for 23"s only so i can piss and moan with proper references.Quote:

its a bit worse than what that pic shows.
naw. I'd say you're definitely hetero; besides, a blow up doll is bad enough. But those shirts you used to wear though... looked like drapery with collars dude.Quote:

i'd have to call and see if they'd give me a new one on the spot.
Worth a shot.
the store is 45 min away, still better than waiting another 2 weeks.
i gotta find some grey masking tape to put over the apple logo, its shinyness keeps me thinking that something on my dock is bouncing.
found out today the monitor is a 2xxxxxx version which is really old, the new ones that are supposed to have fixed the "pink-greys" and other stuff like backlight leakage are the 5xxxxx versions.. meh, brand new and i get an old one. off to yell at apple.
seriously. you are a poster child for never buying online.
Damnit, wrong button. Move along, nothing to see here.
bought a piece of crap KVM switch that barely works off of ebay, don't know what i was thinking. You have to have it switched to the computer that is booting else (even with the cables connected) it won't recognize the mouse/keyboard so when you go to use it.
When you were little, did you jab a fork into the electrical outlet or something? Maybe you've got a permanent charge that just destroys everything you touch.
The first half led me to think you were going somewhere else with the second half.Quote:
