Hell, even the $50,000 prize split up among a group of 10 is still a nice yearly bonus. I'm interested in seeing what this data they have looks like. Knocking it a little above 1% shouldn't be too hard, but I use that term loosely.
It's going to be funny when they have all of these independent programmers coming up the solution they're looking for. It's certainly a cool new way of solving problems (letting everyone have a chance.) Who was that guy from Microsoft that mapped the genome of some animal and then released it to the public? Was that Paul Allen?
