A gunman opened fire in 2 shootings across campus this morning.
This morning the initial report was 1 dead...now it's 22 dead and 28 wounded.

At this rate..it's getting to the point I almost hate to tune into the news. Remember back in the day when someone pissed us off we would beat the s**t out of them and call it a day? These days we grab an uzi and smoke everything that moves and either blow our brains out or waste 12 months in court blaming everyone but ourselves.

They said there were two episodes of shooting at the school, with two hours between them. Strange that he wasn't caught after the first one.
2 people killed in the first shooting in a dorm room. 30 in the second shooting episode in an engineering building.
The cops were on the other side of campus. Most US campuses aren't miniature like a lot I've seen in Europe.Quote:

my guess is that he committed some crime he initially planned and was suprised that he hadnt already been taken down and just wandered around for a while. then decided to open fire again later.

Do these sensationalist douchebags have no decency? Imagine how families must feel reading that headline.

i flipped on CNN headline news last night around 10-10:30pm, and they had their segment of "Showbiz Tonight"....instead of talking about the normal celebrity babble what was their headline story? "The Virginia Tech massacre...how hollywood may have played a role in the shooting". the host comes on and says "Is hollywood to blame for this horrible tragedy? Let's take a deeper look". Some of the comments on the BBC section are right. The media have turned focus more to a political debate rather than thinking about people who died.

Hard to believe this - 32 people, that's my entire company.
My brother-in-law just graduated last year; one of his roomates (a 6 foot asian guy) was a nut job - failed out of classes and started selling bootleg DVDs from his trunk while parked in the middle of their quad. Ended up being committed. For about 3 hours yesterday, he had me convinced his roomate was the shooter. Till he popped up on IM to check up on his old roomies.
Having flashbacks to the sniper incidents a few years ago...
So does the hope for an open mind work both sides? I don't know that I've met many gun ownership advocates that were truly open minded about the possibility that stricter controls may result in a positive impact.Quote:

So I read them, to be honest they are bad but I've seen much harsher violence in screenplays and films written by "normal" people like Tarantino. These writings aren't that bad, but this kid obviously had some anger issues.
i didnt read his whole play because i dont have any interest in that... but i did read the first pages and the title itself is retarded. If u read it, u can already tell the kid is foreign, trying to be tough by using all this language and ****. the guy that sold him the gun said he was just some boyscout asian man and he had a thing against rich kids.... yet he goes to college himself. go figure
