So what are you all watching these days? I haven't even watched a movie on my own time in so long. I watch bits and pieces of movies I have already seen or have them play in the background.
But a few I have watched in class (most already seen before).

Haven't watched a movie in a while. But, I have been watching the new HBO series John Adams. Good stuff.
I am legend. Was told it was crap but I actually liked it. Also saw Over the hedge for the first time. And a movie called The Invasion. All worth watching but none of them spectacular.
I saw I Am Legend in theater. I thought it was pretty decent- I like the alternate ending better. I want to read the book now as I have heard from multiple people that it is a lot better.
Meh...the book was alright, kind of boring. Only a day or two read as its under 200 pages i think.Quote:

Heard a lot good about 'A Clockwork Orange'.
Going to watch 'Scarface' and 'Life Is Beautiful', not seen yet.
Will see 'Trainspotting' again, love it.
Oh my god! Train-spotting and A clockwork orange have to be two of the worst films i've ever seen in my life yet everyone worships them like they're classics :mad:
Recently I watched the descent with a group of friends and remembered just how much it makes me jump. Drillbit Taylor (?) was funny but nothing amazing and I saw juno in the cinema a lil' while ago and thought it was really well done (even though there were no real high-points in the story). I'm really into comedys or horror films.
One thing i'm looking to buy is black sheep which I think I saw advertised a few days ago on tv.
Over the weekend, I re-watched my hands down favorite film of all time, "Do The Right Thing". We watched "I am Legend" last night, "Into the Wild" tonight (loved the book). I'm grabbing "Fist Full of Quarters" when I return those two. Will rent "Juno" in two weeks even though I've seen it. We've also had Old Country and this Les Claypool DVD on and off the screen for the last couple of weeks.
I recently watched 10,000BC in theater and Berlin on TV. Will watch No Country for Old Men next.
what i wanna watch is some good sci-fi or horror , but i havent come across one recently.
I was just watching Juno.
I want to watch Rambo I and Rambo IV again.
I skipped the thread once I read that someone bashed Clockwork Orange. You obviously don't understand Kubrick at all and all of this underlying messages within his films. I am not going to argue and try and make you like it or any of his other films. I just think you're not old enough to appreciate them. And don't go off and say you're 16 bleh bleh you get it. I remember seeing it the first time when I was like 13 or 14 and still liking it to a point but all the deeper messages went right over my head. I REALLy like the film now. i just watched it a couple weeks ago and liked it more then ever.

Rocket Science...man, it was excruciating seeing the kid go through so much crap only to get crapped on more and more and more. really cool movie (would have liked to read the book)
No Country for Old Men...wish i would have seen it before the hype, probably would have liked it more

The same with heat. The best lines had the worst delivery from people who should have known better.
I absolutely love David Mamet, so hearing that is kind of a downer. I hope it still delivers something, for me.
cloverfield hits dvd april 22nd, word has it its got 2 alternate endings.
enemy at the gates was enjoyable. all my movie time though has been taken up by house seasons 1 and 2
now that it's out on DVD, i'd like to hear peoples thoughts on Sweeney Todd.
I saw it and have my opinions, just wondering what other geeks thought.
I actually enjoyed it. My gf is a theater major and made me go but in the end I ended up enjoying it....for being a musical.

I Am Legend is going down as one of the worst movies I've ever seen. So many inconsistencies, such forced dialogue, and horrible CGI. If there's one thing i'm more sure about today than ever before, Will Smith is one of the most overrated actors of our time.Quote:

Instead of retelling the same story, the director/writer decided to explained what was going on, so the people inside the cube are secondary characters this time. It has the same dark atmosphere as the first one. I don't think it was as good as the first one, but I loved it because it's more like 'Cube: behind the scenes'.
The first and third one are definitely movies you need to watch.
Saw Into The Wild last night and thought it was very well made and quite the story. Reading the book now.
Saw The Mist tonight and that movie is just I don't even know. It is actually a good movie and has some good parts(once you get past the acting) and the end...well the end is just ****ED up.
