Too Late mines fried.
Actually, I do. I'm totally gonna try that.
I wonder if that reflects a blast of microwaves directly into the photographers brain? :D
Ach i've been doing that every now and then for kicks and my microwave has never looked like that after, you can fry all the tracks and stop it before it goes on fire...
Got any pics?
Naw, who knows why I haven't thought to take some before... i'll get on it...
OLD!
I need to photograph it though- pick one up cheap at a yard sale.
where does this exist at FK?
I've done that, microwaved about every thing i can think of, a laptop or a whole string of christmas lights are my favorite things to put in the microwave.
Though i never took pics, and it did not damage the microwave.
I am going to go hit up some tag sales this weekend. I have 2 100 cd spindles full of AOL, ruined, and other misc cds.
I think I will practice taking pics with the first spindle and then put the whole second one in...
We used to nuke AOL CD's in college, what comes out of there is positively toxic.
What went in was positively toxic too.
bleh...
Just picked one up off the side of the road last night. Ran a few cds through it to test it. Heading out to my garage with camera and cd spindle in hand.
Hopefully have SOMETHING to post later.
awesome.
Can't wait
don't forget your lead vest.
Not as good as I hoped but I still have a whole other 100 spindle to burn through some other day. What else shall I fry in this beast? This thing is straight from the 80's...
Couple sample shots.

Pencils are supposed to provide great microwave fun.
Oh yeah? Well next time I plug this baby in I will throw a whole box in...
oh damn. I am sure their parents were thrilled using their house microwave. hmmm I love graphite on my food. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JT_r7yHTvXk
lol... awesome dude. But putting an entire coke can in the microwave oven didn't cause problems!?
Not anything I cared about since it is an 80's free microwave :). I am not sure if this is true of all microwaves but I have some to the conclusion that it needs to be sitting on something that touches the bottom part of the microwave to do anything. I tried propping that up on a block of wood to get a clear picture over the frame of the door and nothing happened.

I took down all my videos from youtube but I have made a fair amount of flash powder in my day and have blown up- a microwave(door almost hit us), at least 3 different sized tv's, a vaccum, coolmate cooler, 4oz of powder in a soda bottle for last 4th of july, etc etc.
Haven't done it in a while- you know trying to dodge darwin.
I wish it did that.
