I'm working on using the city of Edinburgh as a metaphor for the youtube community and projecting the faces of various youtube losers down dark alleys at night.
What d'you think?
Silhouetting product images so I can keep my job. Argh...
Just finished a MONSTER rush save the clients ass job which we JUST squeaked in under yesterday's deadline. Now I'm trying to go back and clean up some things for some freelance jobs that I've been putting on the back burner for the past 2 weeks...
And then there's the whole taking care of the kids, possible divorce, worst birthday on record and looming debt...
:)
But hey, life just keeps rolling on...

I saw MarkP and thought for sure this was some necro'd thread from 6 years ago... :xbones:
Tons of SEO work.
Since we got a couple of clients to #1 on Google for their main keyphrases all of their competitors are calling us to do the same for them.
Exactly what I thought.Quote:

How about you Markp?
I am sure this is part of the dust that needs settling- but are you keeping the game store?
Spry-based assessment tool that grades learner performance by objective.
Between now and Xmas:
Teaching AS 3.0 to our HE students for first time at our college... seems to be going well, not as many complaining about it as we expected...
FE students, teaching 'Freelancing in the media industry', 'Storyboarding' and 'Concept Art for 3d Games'.
In between managing to find time to get a day or so at TwelveTen doing the odd web project.
I finally got myself the hell away from working in education. My new job is mostly HTML, CSS, Javascript and Velocity. There's a fair bit of jQuery, so that makes things quite fun.

Series of biology-related posters for a local college.
I've been working on some flash based facebook and myspace apps/games lately. One of them launched, the other is in progress. Our clients are all about the social networking sites right now.
The design company i do a little for seems to be the same... recent surge in music related projects (dj's/agents) that often stem from myspace or facebook related stuff.Quote:

Doing some flash AS2 (still !!) applications and learning new CS4 AS classes. I am also working on my own social site, mainly flash.
I'm also going to start doing some SourceMod scripting for TF2, if anyone is familiar with it, hit me up.
What are you going to try and do?
The server I play on wants to make some changes to the map voting system. I've started playing around with the scripting language. I have no right to complain about AS/JS ever again.
Been very busy lately colouring in cartoons that a very good illustrator friend draws for a company doing themed menus, in the middle of a Flash website for a local Harley-Davidson garage which is fun, putting in a new kitchen that number 2 son gave us from his new house (they're having an extension and new kitchen put in). Also been organising a concert for the kids in the Romanian orphanage we visited in June. That was last weekend and we raised over £1000 and had a great night. Dusted off my guitar and played a set with a friend, had 3 other groups and a magician.
Been too busy to pop in here but had an evening off, only to see MP is back.
Oh, and off to Benidorm for number 3 son's Stag do in a couple of weeks.
Analysis of Ryanair annual report and forecasts of cash flows for Jaguar to analyse their exposure to exchange rate risk. Can post links some time in the future but it probably wouldn't interest you ;)
going into my 8th month of being a full time graphic designer. It's quite a switch from full time marketing seeing my only education in design is here at Flashkit. The first 4-5 months were hell on earth, but i think things are finally starting to come together.
I've just finished authoring an AS2 and an AS3 exam. Not done that before, it's more difficult, but more fun that I thought it would be.
Flipside of the coin is that the exam is for a london based agency that are moving a lot of their work to india, and need it to assess new recruits.
My current project is a totally original puzzle game that I'm building in flash, but I keep having dirty thoughts about learning obective-c and turning into an i-phone app.
Working on some new eLearning modules in AS2. Hoping to start learning some AS3 pretty soon....
