Imagine how would you feel back in stone age? Nothing would have change for 1000s of years.
I meant it literally. Imagine your job is to hunt animals (vs doing webdev or whatever dev) and nothing changes for your entire life span. Nothing at all. If you could magically teleport into the future over 1000 years, you would not notice any changes, except maybe drawings on your cave walls would be styled differently.
Vs that, our current change-of-the-world-rate is actually enormous.
Maybe for a 100 years...for a 1000 well the microevolution kicks in and thing would be quite different from now..
13 years :o Not really been around here for many years and good to see the old crew are still here Mad-Sci
Been ages since I have checked and it hasn't changed much... ;)
Much love, ya'll! Let us rejoice and make games!

Hahaha! I didn't know you'd take me literally... :D
Hello mate,
Nice to see you all, I am newbie in this forum.
Amazing, I even remembered my password to connect here...
Hey good old guys :)
Those forums had a Golden Age once (at least for me), I will never forget.
I got a birthday wishes from Flashkit and wow I am feeling nostalgic :)
well. Can't imagine when I return here in 13 years . and then I will look at this post and reply to it.epic!!!
I'm not as old here as some of you but I'll turn a decade old next year! :D I don't feel it the same, though (other than the fact that I check these forums like twice a year now). I remember these posts having way more replies some years back. Might as well be the nostalgia.
Hahah, that's kinda funny. I'm actually developing a game with the name "Stone Rage". If you don't mind checking out and letting me know what you think, realMakc. www.indiedb.com/games/stone-rage

that game looks like the beginning of a huge project, shame it didn't raise enough funds. It would be interesting to see modern weapons and objects and vehicles in a game like that, something that player may earn.
playing seomthing like this in multiplayer game would be great.
Has been a while. Missed how much I used to look forward to checking this forum each day.
I just joined a week ago... but I hope to last here for over 13 years. And I hope to see some veteran members here when I turn 13 in this Flash community.
With mobile, tablets, HTML5 and, others the popularity of flash itself is declining.
13 years indeed.
Good to see this place is just about limping on!
mbenny... how are you? and what are you doing these days? Still flashing? :)
Good old days........................
Randomly returned here when googling something.
I'm using Haxe now - beats AS3 any day.
Oh my good its 13 years! Amazing journey man! Though me new here but feeling good to see someone from old members of this forum.
Oh man, talk about nostalgia hahah. Thought I'd log in for old times sake and look at this. Good to see you RipX, Marmotte, and MadSci! Still remember you guys taking the time to help me out when I first dipped my toe in to AS 13 years ago with Flash 5! Much love. Hope you're all doing well :)
Can people post up maybe alternate forms of contact, like Twitter? I remember having great times and discussions, and even throwing my 14 year old hissy fits here with other devs, and it would be cool to have a mini-reunion.
Geez I'm loving this nostalgia.
But serisously, where is playable link? If you cannot release whole thing (unfinished), just keep releasing teasers, I don't know, "hunt a mammoth" 10 minutes quest, or something.
Nice to see RipX, MadSci and Marmotte are still around! It's been years since I was super active here, but I keep coming back. This forum taught me how to code years ago, and now I'm a software engineer in San Francisco. It wouldn't have been possible without the flashkit games forum!
P.S. I don't do a lot of flash anymore, but still making the occasional game. Re-made Chips Challenge in Haskell recently: https://github.com/egonSchiele/chips
Playing games is a simple procedure to pass your time politely.
I like when things do not change much. Look at Pyramids. They are there for ages, and they are great! :)
Have you actually seen the pyramids? I went there and, let me tell you, they are just big piles of rocks, basically. If you want some impressive egyptian stuff, go to Thebes temple, for example (now Luxor). It still ****, but much more impressive than pyramides.
16 years now!
(Who else was dragged back here by a Flashkit hacking notice?)
There was no hack, they just wanned people back.
