I need some inspiration. I need to design a banner ad and one of the concepts I want to run with is a comic book theme. Any sites you can recommend would help me get the style down.
Thanks.

Thanks.
Here's a site I'm designing for my own comic. I took elements of an actual street and I'll be making them act as related buttons.
http://www.DarkLineComic.com
For example:
The news guy will take you to the news page.
The Cafe will take you to the message boards.
The mailbox will take you to the mailing list.
The phone will take you to my contact page.
The one way sign "Links this way" will take you to my external links page.
The Broadway sign hanging from the left side will contain the main buttons
The billboard will have the latest cover of my comic.
Underneatht that I'm going to put a movie theater style board where they have the removable acetate letter and put news items there.
The blank art easel will be in case I get any fans of my comic that want to submit fan art.
It will be a truly creative / interactive site.
Now If I only had time to get back to it :)

Looks interesting... will keep an eye out.
line,
can i ask, the font you used on your cartoon site - the font on the grey buttons is one i could really do to get hold of. Do you know if it is a free download font? I don't know its name so i can't do a search really.
Thanks
I might be wrong, but that font looks like "Comic Sans MS" ...Bold and italic.
Looks like Comic sans to me too. Should come with windows
its very similar to comic sans but not quite the same, especially the letter I which is different.
Hey Buddy Mal!!! :)
What's new! :)
Well the font you're looking for is called WildAndCrazy and can be purchased from www.ComicBookFonts.com
I got it in a collection of fonts from them (better to get the collection because it's a discounted price instead of being each seperately)
