flash problem please help

hi i am working on a project using as2 and i am trying to get a button to go to a different scene in the flash file while at the same time sending a url to another device to activate a certain action.

for example the flash file is a touch screen interface which links into a physical 3d model.

how this works is when the person click on a button it brings them to a differnt scene in the flash file while at the same time send of a link / url to the model which tells it turn on the lights.


what is happening is the button brings you to the differnt scene fine, but then it opens up a browser window to try open the url that was sent.

if anybody could help with this it would be very much appriciated.
