I need to do something similar to this site. But is it done via actionscript or frame by frame animation in Flash? If so, what script was used? Can anyone help? Or are there any .fla examples I can refer to?

My colleague told me Japanese designers cum developers can do all that using actionscript to control the animation. But I have my doubts. Insights, anyone?

can flash work with midi files and not just play them but read the contents?
i would have each drummer as a movie and link it to a array that works like a midi file having several arrays as the different tracks...?

I've seen this before. Trying to remember where. I'm almost sure this was done with 3DS Max or other 3d design program and exported as an swf file. I'm about 90% sure that's how I came across it the first time.:confused:
