I've never been a big fan of Bill Bussey. He has some awesome video/AE skills, but he lacks in other areas that really seems below average to me, especially in this site. The typography isn't that great. The export quality of the video looks bad in the section transition, but I guess filesize was an issue. Eh, whatever. I could go on and on.
pretty sad we have become such a pill popping society.
cool site. transitions are nice. colors dont do much for me though.
Odd. Such great effects, but then you have a crappy little preloader with mist-aligned text. The typography doesnt really work well, and the colours, a bit too conflicting. Not so good.
Euhm.. dunnow but does this site really fits the subject?
It's promoting a relaxing and sleep controlling natural pill.
That's not exactly the feel this tech-interface is giving me.
Ok, it's cool, it uses aftereffects and all the 'cool' stuff but again it's not used at the right place I think.
I totally agree, looks like someones trying to blow his load.
Back in the day, BB really inspired me to be a better flash developer, utilizing secondary software applications like After effects, and Combustion... but the more time I spend with those programs, the more I am reminded...
Designers are from Mars /Developers are from Venus
This site is a perfect example.
well if hes any kind of designer that will be what his client asked for - unless its his own thing.
Eeeeek. What happened? The colors aren't his fault, but the design is.
So damn funny and so true :DQuote:

It's not THAT bad. The effects are neat, and the rollover he has on the button (since every button is the same button, save for the main nav) isn't bad. I do agree, though, that the colors are iffy and the design boring and unattractive. The typography is probably the worst part.
Also, on Safari, the preloader is REALLY spastic. It'll load 25%, then stop. I hit refresh, it goes to 42, then stops. Etc.
I think that's done very well.
I think the site is lacking in any really content. It's all text except for the video at the start. The spinning and light effect are great but the rest of the site just really doesn't impress me that much.
I like it.
if I look at specifics of the site...I think GOOD...nice "effects"...fluid and technically functional...
as a wole..I keep thinking Tony the Tiger ("Greeeeeaaaaaaaat")...
intended?..who knows....
I do think the site is way to "hyper" for the product inteded for though.....
also..am NOT a fan of "panel/window" type interfaces anymore...
I think they are limiting..and usually are stuck with "techie" themes...I am more "friendly" towards "organic/textured" types themes with this "layout"
-whispers-
The site is disgusting to me. The colors do not seem appropriate and a tech layout for this type of site? Maybe that is what the client wanted him to designed?
Oh yeah, it's Grrrreeeeeeaaaaat?
Christ I thought it was excellent.
I'm SCARED to post my site =/
Ya, that's what I sorta felt. Once flashy intro into the site was sweet, but once u got there, the content in the window was just...not that great.Quote:

BB isn't a graphic artist, and likewise his portfolio of work doesn't reflect a broad range of styles and themes as one would.
BUT -he does an awesome job with HIS style and there are hundreds of clients out their who will pay for it. It is entirely possible that the customer hired BB specifically for this reason and Billy did the best he could.
It wouldn't be the first time I client didn't know hat they were talking about.
You can tell the client went to BillBusey.com and said "I want it to look just like that!!" And Bill said uuh..... ok $$$$!
-Typography needs work.
- Bright orange?
- Another friggin energy drink!!?
But still a great site. It's cutting edge high energy, which fits the client well. Great job BILL!!!
Christ on a bike....
