Play / Pause / Fullscreen SWF (as2) (cs6)

This seems relatively easy, but my limited knowledge of other languages has made the discovery of my problem difficult. Thank you in advance for your patience.

I have about 1000 swf files that i have inherited at my new job.... and with them, i inherited some pretty daunting problems. I am trying to avoid opening 1000 .FLA files and adding Play / Pause / Fullscreen functionality. My hope is that I can add this functionality with something like javascript or php.

Does any one know if this is possible, and if so, how?
