David Petley former super moderator has passed away.

David was a good friend. He was here before me and directly responsible for me becoming a mod and then super moderator here at flashkit. He was my boss at SWiSHzone for several years. His declining health made it impossible to work. He was reluctant to mention his health issues. Eventually he went to a hospice to live out his final days. We would catch up via facebook from time to time. He'd share the photo's he had taken the artwork of his and those of others.

Not the kind of news I've ever anticipated to read here. David Petley shaped how I moderated this website. Even-tempered and even-handed yet with his own flair. Welcomed me at a time I was a wildcard yet took his time to reach out occasionally to chat about most anything.

Damn... just damn.

damn i havent heard that name in forever RIP buddy

top bloke. Always very fair and one of only a handful of members who were contributors to the community and not just bored trolls.

I am not sure if am visiting here after 8-9 years, I was looking in my old mail and found some messages of appreciation from late David, as I lost my swishzone id I came looking in google and found this thread dear Frets. So sad.

May he rest in peace.
