Someone asked my opinion on some 3D modeling programs, I answered, and now I have decided to post some other good ones that I have found, all are free.

Hate to sound like a windows weasel, but do you know if I can install that Debian OS alongside of my Windows 98 without causing any problems? Alternatively, do you know of any of these that have windows counterparts? (I did a quick peak at each one and didn't see anything.)
Thanks

Yes,
Windows can be installed along side windows without any problems.
If you are going to do it I recommend purchasing and installing a second Hard Drive to run Linux on. This is the safest method.
The other method of running both together is to partition your Hard Drive. I highly recommmend that you back eveything up before partitioning your Hard Drive becuase if a Hard Drive is partitioned wrong then you could loose data stored on it.
A full Debian Linux Kit (Comes with Linux, the GIMP, Star Office, Gnome, A word processor, a couple of server programs, and more) along with book on Linux can be bought for about $19.
Mandrake Linux, which has the same stuff just about as the Debian package except that it has a partition helper, retails for $25 to $26 at your local Wal-Mart.
Corel Linux- which comes with the KDE instead of the GNOME runs and has Corel Office included runns about $100.

Thanks. I just ran across this program that apears to be for windows. I have no idea how good or useful it is.

Talk about low priced workhorses. Are you sure you're not related to these guys?
I would venture to say that both of these programs and a smidgin of talent would go far to boggle folks.
