Adobe 'Type Reunion' will recognise your typefaces and put them in groups.
Adobe Type Manager 'Deluxe' (ATM) is an excellent program. It will allow you to set up specific groups. You can activate or deactivate fonts at the click of a button.
Make sure it's the deluxe version otherwise you won't be able to sort them. Unfortunately it isn't free!

Not nearly as powerful as Adobe Type Manager Deluxe.
However it works with PC's ATMD only works on mac.
