How is this done...

Hi.

I was wondering if somebody could shed some light on the methods of construction in the below site for me:

I would like to know primarily 2 things:

1. How do they achieve the background smooth colour transitions?
2. How do they load each page from the navigation? Is it done dynamically... If so, how?

1) Most likely done tweening one color into another.
2) This will load a movie into an empty movieclip on the stage.
