Hi, Could somebody please tell me how to constrain proportion when creating a shape in paint such as a gear, in most apps it is just hold down shift while drawing, can't find it in help..

...you can't find it because it's not there. Turn on the grid, and set it to 'snap to grid', then draw your shape on the grid. This will keep everything in proportion.
