OK I've been reading this stuff on how to make a grid.
Well this is very simple.
Create a new document: Ctrl+N
and give it the width of your design. let's say 1024 by 2
Then with the selection tool draw a selection 1pixel height and 1024 width. Then fill it with a color.
Go to edit -> define pattern
click OK
Create a new document Ctrl+N
give it 1024 by 768
Create a new layer
Go to edit-> fill
and use pattern
search for the pattern you just made
click OK, and that's it
Hope this helps
re Sense
btw you can use whatever pattern you will.
from little crosses + to little dots .
when you fill as pattern it will fill the complete layer with your own pattern.
pretty slick huh

I totally respect your ideas. My wallpaper was very plain because I see the current trend of 'designer's wallpapers' to be very busy. SO busy infact, when you put your desktop icons onto it.. It is visually unappealing.Quote:

Here's my constructive crit:
To me, it doesn't appear to be much of a wallpaper...more like a website, advertistment, or something else. Sorry...I don't know how to tell you to improve it...coz it's up to you and you may not want my 'improvement' comments...not that I have any.
anyway..later
In any case, I appreciated your feedback, whether good or bad. Thanks.
thanks mate.
Glad you understand my 'drift' and appreciate it ;)
c ya round
In the friendlest way possible, i say "TrendWhore" :D
It's not that bad, but it looks like something straight from a tut at http://www.carbonfour.com . I never understood the point of small unreadable fonts and ".01".
Whatever floats your boat.
My current wallpaper is the windows "Buttons pattern".
I like extremely simple stuff :D
Hahaha - yeah, I suppose I never understood stone washed jeans or Members Only jackets either. I just think the small type emphasizes detail and technology in modern design.Quote:

The 01 is significant for the year.. :):):)
I hope to be around for a while, so I date my stuff.
Thanks for the feedback. ;)
nobody ever understood members only jackets :D
