just saw an interview here in USA with a woman who worked on the 99th floor of second tower hit, they were evacuating when the plane hit, she was on the 66th floor going down the stairs when it hit but she made it out, seems maybe most did.
Bin Laden 'spoke of big attack on US'
Osama bin Laden vowed just three weeks ago to unleash an unprecedented attack against the US.
An Arab journalist with access to the terror chief says bin Laden warned of a "very big one" being planned by Islamic fundamentalists he leads.
Abdel-Bari Atwan says bin Laden was almost certainly behind the devastation in New York and Washington.
Mr Atwan - editor of the London-based al-Quds al-Arabi news magazine - says he received information that "very, very big attacks against American interests" were being plotted.
"They said it would be a huge and unprecedented attack but they did not specify," Atwan said in London, but did not take the threat seriously.
Which is what I believe that the pilot of the plane that crashed in pennsylvania did ;). The pilot that hit the Pentagon turnedat the last minute, aiming for the outside instead of the outside. Save more lives that way. He or She obviously knew about the way that the explosin would travel throught the building.Quote:

Two U.S. Navy aircraft carriers have been stationed off the coast of New York as security tightened along both borders of the U.S. The military remains on a "High Alert" status.
sad to watch the celebrating in the streets of palestine, even as their government condemns it, cheering waving flags handing out candy to children for gods sake, so much hatred. I wonder where else they are celebrating, many will claim responsibility.

The U.S. government will no doubt just sit back and do nothing about this. I know they say they will find who is responsible for this act and punish them but I don't think they will. They are to worried about what other countries will think and do if we respond in the wrong way. To me there is no wrong way to respond. I also know that russia and many ohter countries are backing us right now. Does anyone think that someone will claim responsiblity for this act? Ain't this a fine world we live in...........

I live Just south of Daytona beach. My school (daytona beach comm. college) was closed, and Kennedy Air force base and space center are on "level D" security which is the highest alert level.
Someone posted above that there would need to be expert training and huge funds to pull something like this off.
Bin-Laden certainly has both, which leads me to believe he was, in fact, behind this
Also, something very interesting uncovered by our local ABC news affiliate, was that several high-ranking officials, as well as the FBI, recieved friday, a warning to take precautions for travel industry, but ignored the threats(so its rumored)
How can the gov't just ignore threats like this?
This is the first attack on U.S. soil since 1812 (pearl harbor was not yet U.S. soil at that attack)
How were the planes hi-jacked? how did they get the guns through? was it even guns they used?
Whoever is behind this horrible deed should be tortured.

Flight attendant on one plane got off a cell phone call that said the pilots were shot and members of the flight crew were stabbed in the aisle of the plane

get gas for you car now! i just heard that in some places lines are up to 1 mile long. gas supply is OK, but distribution is going to be a major problem. some are saying prices will top $5 per gallon.

On contrary to what many of you said, I think these terrorists are damn smart folk! How much planning does it take to bypass all security, hijack 4 planes, and precicely fly them into specific targets!
